The Art of Energy Management - Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast
Energy management is a science and an art. Most people tend to understand the science: if you get adequate sleep, exercise, and eat a healthy diet, chances are you’re going to create more energy. But it’s also an art. What energizes one person may not energize another person, and conversely, what sucks the life out of someone might be a catalyst for someone else. In this episode of the Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast, Craig discusses how to make the most of your energy management by auditing your energy and creating an energy budget.

I used to be exhausted and depressed all the time, but then I subbed to Craig Groeschel and found Jesus and I couldn't be better!
Love this concept that you can’t create more time but you can create more energy
💡💡 Don’t work smarter, rather manage energy smarter. 💡💡 The 1st person I have to lead is ME.
10/10. Thank you. I listen to your podcasts while doing mindless tasks, and they often help me tweak even the task I'm doing at that specific time. Great content.
@PolstonTax did Craig Groeschel’s leadership podcast with 15 of our 17 managers in our management meeting this morning! We have been doing one of the leadership podcasts each month and have applied the nuggets gained to grow as leaders. This morning we did the podcast on the Art of Energy Management and gained a great deal of insight on leading nearly 120 employees. This podcast was also the catalyst for discussing the responsibilities that energize us and the responsibilities that drain us. Thank you for these leadership podcasts.

Thank you @PolstonTax! Glad it is valuable to you!
thank you for being a big factor in the enthusiasm for my schooling in ministry
I PREPARE for the following morning as well! Its not nerdy it is SMART!!!!
I called this my GENTLE ... PEAK ... VALLEY... WEAK (hours) Gentle is still groggy so I set my morning routines for during this hour. Peak hours - I have about 4 hours for longer term projects / high out put involving collaboration energy before any fatigue happens Valley hours I have about 4 hours of energy winding down, so I schedule, check emails, do short things Weak hours... critical thinking , planning, decision making is over, but good for research, then planning next day, then unwinding activities for bed. always thought it was an ADHD issue... but it makes sense it applies to everyone and some of your unpacking of details and techniques were very helpful as a new way of revisiting this. Love the numbering system.
Thanks for the video
I feel like he is reading my mind!! Wow
This is so good
Love this!! Thank you 😊
This is great. Lots to think about. 'You can't create more time but you can create more energy.'👏👏👏Going to start working on my energy audit today!!
This may be the best podcast episode I listened to this past year, or at least certainly one of the most impactful. At a time when I was getting really frustrated about how I managed my time and work, I stumbled upon this. And it made a huge impact. Because I began looking at the different tasks and duties of the week, in terms of the energy or focus required, and designing my week to support that i.e. time for noise reduced isolation for creative focus; high availability times for team interaction; using times when I'm fresh for the toughest work; and very important but easily overlooked, pre-scheduling quality time with family. Thanks much Craig and the Leadership Podcast Team:)!
Thank you so much Craig. I started off my day with such a low but after listening to you I feel positive and energized. I'm gonna go look for ways to manage my energy.
Loved how pastor Craig gave an outline example of how we should plan our week. Awesome content!
This was super awesome. Was making my notes as I listened and when you sent in the questions at the end, I realised I already had them answered. Thank you Craig. With love from Nigeria
This was life changing for me.

Totally agree
a great video, i took some notes in onenote while you spoke. Thanks for sharing the video. Also - i cant do anything i love for ten hours - i assume that was a point in principle and not literally ten hours.
All of this sounds very helpful and wise. I look forward to doing an Energy Audit. BUT...question: the goals outlined here imply a lot of being able to control your day and schedule. What if much of your job is about responding? If you are frequently interrupted from tasks that have been started, and you're expected to juggle many balls at the same time? It seems that it would be much harder to adhere to your energy peaks...? Curious about others' experiences... Thanks!
Outside of work, I am carrying for and elderly parent.what was supposed to be 6-8 weeks turned into 2 years. Of course, she does not act to me like she would anyone else. She will not allow any other help but me. This is very draining and frustrating. Any suggestions?
What do i do when im under someone else leadership, and can always create the rhythm for my peak production and fulfillment? Hope this makes since.
Craig, is there any way I could actually see the year schedule you have written out? Plz and thank you.
This is great - can you share your notes?

Hi Barb! You can download this episode's notes at www.craiggroeschel.com/leadershippodcast -CG Team
been following, btw would be nice to take out the animation out with the captions. It's a bit distracting, takes out what Craig's saying and grabs my eye to the animation. Just a suggestion.
Awesooomee
Ok..maybe I am off base here...this is brilliant. Are you a student of Steiner and temperament? This is exactly what I teach to my Waldorf homeschool program students. I have needed someone to help me apply it more to me and my temperament.

I even do audits with my clients. This is great. You are speaking my language!!
would you mined keeping the notes on the screen a little longer, aha
Team meetings drain me a lot. Such as keep on talking and not concise, digression and not keeping to time. I am not a leader so cannot manage and it's out of control. 😬
Sir, why are you drained after weekends? Are they so hard and not re-charging?
We'll said
Sorry, but I am exhausted just listening the details of self management! I know this is done toward the purpose of serving God efficiently....but sounds and feels totally self absorbed. I'll have to exit and regroup or re-energize just to finish it, before even thinking about the next one, different kinds of energy.
youmen
I was going to dislike. The beginning of the podcast was too theoretical. I continued watching and he provided more practical/applicable solutions to energy management
This is so good
