I've just spent the last couple of hours watching Di Stefano, Pele, Best, Cruyff, Muller, Beckenbauer, Maradona, Baggio, Zidane, R9 Ronaldo, Henry, Ronaldinho, Figo, Kaka, CR7, Mbappe, Haaland assessing their positioning, passing, dribbling and scoring and I can comfortably say, with total objectivity, that Messi plays the most beautifully and scores the most beautifully. It's mesmerising watching him.

How people compare mere goalscorers with a little bit of skill to this legend is beyond me. I respect Ronaldo but his greatest achievement would be to be considered as Messi's rival for more than a decade. Messi was born for football. He was blessed with something no amount of hardwork can achieve. A rare diamond not just in football but in the field of sports overall. I doubt any player of any sport can reach this level of creativity and elegance that he can. This video was just 17 minutes of the memorable moments people think of when we talk about Messi's dribbling. There are so many moments just like these (if not better) which Messi executes in a single match and that's just talking about dribbling. Then we have his playmaking and passing, the two areas where he excels but got ignored by the majority of the footballing world because we were so busy marvelling at his dribbling and rubbing our eyes to see if his stats were really true. But as he has grown older and now we rarely see the dribbler in him, we've started noticing that this "finished" version of Messi still has something that the greats like zidane laudrup and pirlo were praised for in their primes. And now in hindsight, he always had this in his locker and he always made those passes. We just wouldn't see it and if we did, we didn't give it the glorification it deserved. But hold on, we're not done yet because the cherry on top of this cake which is Messi's footballing ability is the fact that he's also the greatest (along with cr7) goalscorer in history. A lot of people use the goalscoring aspect against him as if he's not the guy who scored 91 goals in a calendar year. That's right.. 91 goals. When it comes to football, Messi is at the crest of a mountain no other player has ever been (bar Maradona perhaps). He has very well taken the craft of his own crest into his own hands as he sharpens his own pinnacle each passing day. The greatest of all time.

He can be beaten in terms of striker with r9 but r9 was still miles better the only thing that puts messi and cr7 above anybody for now is consistency which no player had for this long otherwise ppl like r9 or zidane are miles clear

IMO Messi does the simplest yet hardest thing to do. 1.If defender is trying to stop your sideways movement past him them nutmeg him. 2.If defender is staying tight and close then dribble him sideways. It's very simple to hear but he does this to 5-6 players at a stretch. Greatest dribbler in the history of football by (far)².

The opponents are literally nothing for him, he just toys with them and walks away with the ball like if it is nothing. Lionel Messi.....the second name of football..

His dribbling isn't simple though? In fact his dribbling is unique. There are so many players that dribbles like Ronaldinho ( I mean showboating) but I haven't seen any player in this generation that dribbles like Messi. It looks simple but very difficult to perform
