Born into a life of crime, John McAvoy quickly became one of the UK’s most notorious criminals.
Whilst spending a double life sentence, he decided to turn his life around following his best friend passing away. Now a world record holder and competitive triathlete, John spends his time working with young people who are at risk of walking down the same path as he did when they were his age; in an effort to show them there are other ways to make an impact in the world.

Anyone can change. My story is no where near as dramatic but I turned my back on bad habits. It has to come from within.

That Darren sounds a great person to try to help someone. A lot of prison guards just take the money and keep the prisoners at arms length.

Eric A he was given 5 year minimum tariff. From good behaviour he would have been out in 5 years providing he was cleared.

How can I get a copy of this to CD or USB.I am a Reentry/Recovery coordinator in a Recovery Unit inside a Massachusetts jail. I would like to bring this motivating story to the men serving time. We are not allowed KZread access inside the facility. I have loaned out johns book Redemption many times.

This type of support will never happen in the USA simply too many prisoners and not enough prison counselors and support from the government to reintegrate in society. In Europe you get a second chance.

I’m 14 and I did my first 12 hour adventure race a week ago my team would’ve cine 5th or 6th and thats good cause we’re the youngest ones there and there were around 54 teams but my team mate pulled out and didn’t hand our score sheet in
