What I also find amazing is that the man who empties his drink on the pavement is the only human in the film that sees Roquefort' and Edger is the only one who hears him when he yells "Quiet!"

I learned so much from this scene. This happens in real life, with not so comical endings. It's pretty heavy when Scat Cat holds his nail up to Roq's throat. Ps. Totally just noticed the guitar work in this scene. Amazing!

I highly recommend buying the Walt Disney Records Legacy Collection release of The AristoCats. It has all of the complete sings and score on disc one. Plus all of the tracks have been restored and they sound amazing!! Then in disc two various demos of songs that didn’t make it into the final film plus new recordings done by Walt Disney Records.

I was just watching Princess and the frog, there’s a scene where a dog it is chasing two frogs underneath a giraffe mask. They run by a guy Drinking wine and he pours it out. I guess it was a tribute to this scene.

The guy poured his drink out like that because he saw a mouse chasing a large number of cats, when it should have been the other way around. So he dumped his drink thinking he was seeing things as per the alcohol making him see things that shouldn't be. Alcohol does that sometimes, not that I'd know of course.
