Zoya has proved once again after her 'Made in Heaven-2' debacle, that she can only cater to English speaking, wanna-be white class... which is pretentious, artificial, fake and totally distanced from reality...!!! If she is so obsessed with English, she should, along with her nepo crew, relocate to Hollywood, atleast then something more original and real stuff may come out of her.... making indians speak English and accented Hindi... makes them look like clowns...!!! I accidentally bumped into a movie named " hey God it's me Margaret" while searching for this headache named "the archies" , both the movies are based on the 70s era, and middle-class teenagers .. but such a shame to Indian film industry, Bhai itna bhadda movie hai infront of the US one I watched.. highly recommend guys please watch that movie!

There was a school by the name Riverdale in Dehradun but now it is know as Summer Valley

if it is a musical,then obviously there will be frequent songs. it was 1964, that's why they had lamps. and songs were really good.

English wala riverdale itni gaali khata hai but they decided hum somehow isse bhi ganda banainge. Angrezo se aage nikal gye hum bakwas banane mei😍😍

Adaption is totally fine but at least they should have adopt in an Indian culture without changing the source material and plot , for example Agastya Nanda's character is Adarsh which is based on Archies character just like Pavitr Prahabakar is based on Peter Parker and other actors as Indian characters based on the og characters in a totally Indian environment. Also the actors have tried very hard to look white and westerner to appease them and that's the main reason many people didn't liked or are not interested in the movie.

I understand bad story or song or acting which are valid criticisms. Relatability? Realism? JAWAAN se leke RRR tak kuch realism nahi hai humare films me. Mainstream Hindi "Commercial" cinema stopped being "realistic" after the 1970s. I don't understand ki why people need something to be 100% realistic to just enjoy it. Har picture dark ya crime based hone se nahi hoga na.

Aaplog bahut zaroori hain. Jab main yeh video dekh rahi thi, I was feeling very low and anxious because of some incident. And this video made me feel lighter. Thanks to both of you😊

YES!!! Place like Riverdale is in Uttrakhand only, its LANDOUR near Mussoorie where the Indo-Indians live like Thomas Beach Alter who was an Indian Actor as well & he had acted in movies like Lagaan. landour however has become a tourist destination, morning & evening walks theres feel like Heaven❤

The characters portrayed in Archies is nothing like real life Anglo indians. Also Archies has more to do with American culture while Anglo indians have to do with British culture. Both very different

@meteor541 Yeah? You stayed there? I know because I studied at Woodstock and we knew folks who weren’t rich by any means but were well read and spoke impeccable English. A lot of clergy among them! But it wasn’t exclusively Christian and neither is Goa. The movie is shit but Zoya has very creatively transposed the Riverdale, America, setting to India, keeping the same characters. Also, if you have a teenager studying in an international school in Mumbai or Bangalore (not NCR), they speak the same English drawl.

I think this movie better caters young audience (6-14) yrs.

Bollywood families have realised that their kids can survive now on just OTT only many nepo kids will be doing more and more ott shows PIN this comment
