Ilham Esrail A part of it is. There's even a province in the East of Iran near Afghan border that they call Khorasan

Khorasan e Buzurg (The Greater Khorasan) was today's Afghanistan and part of Iran and Pakistan. There is a region in Iran named Khorasan.
