When the Habib Allah reached the people of Taif, they stoned him and chased him out of the city which appals me and I cannot understand how they could do that when the prophets appearance is a sign of truth in itself. Begging pardon if this is, but ids it disrespectful of me to ask how it is that women weren't flocking to this man for marriage? Mind you, there is a kind of good looks that's daunting rather than enticing, but by the sounds of it, you couldn't look at the Prophet (peace be upon him) without loving him and believing what he said. Divine blessings for sure.

Do men shave their heads at Hajj? I didn't know that. What does one do if they live in Mecca? It's not exactly Hajj if you're just going around the corner, is it? Or do people still live in Mecca? Sorry for my ignorance: I don't know whether people really live in Islam's pilgrimage cities, but I assume they do.

Yeah, There are residents of Makkah as well as those who come for work. If they are not performing Hajj, there is no need for them to shave.
