How this teaching impresses the need for expository teaching of doctrine as compared to topical teaching with attached verses as proof text. A church where its leadership knows core doctrine such as the Fall, the attributes of God (most focus on His love and ignore the rest), the sovereign elective calling of regeneration and new birth, etc. is hard to find. Of if they know it, they settle for the "nice" Jesus who doesn't want to offend sinners - when that is not the "real" Jesus at all - the Trinitarian Jesus who is Savior and Judge. @@GrantRussell I thought so, too. But this confuses me intensely. It says here he stopped preaching and left the ministry because he decided to live with a man....?? And this was not 4 years ago, but about 20 years ago...
