I met this guy last week while taking the Apollo tour! He was so great and informative and fun! He’s iconic as well! He has a book out( which I purchased and he signed) called “They Call Me Mr. Apollo” it’s a great book with great photos of more iconic peop. Being at the Apollo was one of my highlights and most memorable moments of visiting NYC

Hello my Friend and I was just looking at this Video about how the Apollo Theater first got started and the man who talking to the other man and showing him all of the Handsome and Beautiful GOD Gifted and Talented Famous Legendary ICONIC SINGERS that performed there and lifted their mark and Photos but when he was showing the photos and for Some Strange reason he will Not look or speak about Jackie Wilson who 😢❤😢❤was Better known as "Mr Excitement," and I believe that GOD Saw that he was getting Tired 😫 and Called him Home to RIP 🙏 from his Earthly Duties 🌎 👏 ❤ 😢and he had a Massive Heart Attack while still performing on Stage to entertain people and Singing his Signature Song 🎵 "Lonely Teardrops," and Collapsed as he Touched his heart ❤️ 😢saying my heart is Crying 😢 😭 ❤❤So Sad because he performed all the way to the end of his life and "JW," wil surely always be Loved and Missed Dearly By Everyone Around the World 🌎 ❤😢TY

0:58 Huge photo of Dee Dee Warwick. Thank you for appreciating Dee Dee's contribution to the music of the 60s and 70s. Dee Dee Warwick performed at the Apollo solo and with Dionne as a background vocalist.

I wish other theaters could emulate the Apollo's talent. Then the crowds would keep on coming!

+Brian Goguen "Bravely"? Why "bravely"? No problem. I'm sure Janis Joplin would've been embraced there. No problem.

+Brian Goguen (Cont'd) I come back to say this. Whoever took the stage at the Apollo had some powerful shoes to follow, meaning they'd best be good. The audience there in Harlem is "infamous" for being critical. You can't half step taking to the stage.
