This was a good idea. I sent this on to a friend who is normally very active and is now losing her eyesight. This might give her another chance at an active, helpful, life. Also, with the need for people to help raise puppies, and the co-parenting things developed, reaching people who are interested in animals may pull you the needed puppy raisers.

What a great podcast Dr Doug , so fascinating to listen to Rebekah and her story . The majority of us take for granted our sight , until you hear the background of all the pitfalls of vision loss you realise how blessed we are . What a wonderful group of people that are helping with the puppies and training these incredible dogs . I will definitely be checking out "Guiding Eyes ".

Dr Willen, Rebekah is such a nice 👍 person, she lights up a room. Her story was very interesting, the struggles that she went through made her strong 💪 and even more beautiful in and out. I know of a pit bull guide dog for a handicap man who’s on his wheelchair and his dog listens to him and guides him ever time, she has a harness. When I visit my Naturopath in a pharmacy that’s where I see them from time to time, she’s so caring, so smart, it’s like she’s a person, she waits for him and everyone amazed by her. I’m so happy for Rebekah that her obstacles didn’t make her give up but instead helping others like her and giving others hope. Dr Doug, back in my country they’d say men don’t cry cause they’re men but I think it was so beautiful of you to do so and it shows your emotions and how caring and amazing of a person you are. I hope Rebekah and Regal comes for adjustment, it’ll be so cool to see them. Sometimes we take things for granted until we’re in that difficult situation and start to appreciate everything. Thank you 🙏 from the bottom of my heart ❤️ for everything that you do, Dr Doug you’re absolutely awesome 👏, no wonder from watching one of your first video my gut told me that you’re amazing and it proved when we’ve met. Have a nice week doc, we love you

Thanks Dr. Doug for putting out this podcast. This is a very interesting topic that I did not know a lot about. Rebekah is very passionate about the program and passed some of that passion on to me. I've seen dogs that are trained to work with disabled veterans and they are amazing. I can't wait to see what's up next!

I work in a shelter. It can be tough when I disagree with euthanasia decisions. It does not pay great either, but it is something I am really passionate about. I want to do my own thing and train dogs. It is hard to branch off though.

What about all the wonderful dogs in shelters? So many euthanised. I have every sympathy but this is more exploitation. 😭😞💔
