The Anglesey Barracks. Dinorwics' Abandoned Quarry Cottages. North Wales.
#Dinorwic #AbandonedQuarry #Wales
This week we take you for a closer look at the unusual Abandoned row of Quarrymens cottage sitting hight above the village of Llanberis, known as the Anglesey Barracks.
These humble little 2 roomed cottages were the home to many a quarryman working at the Dinorwic quarry over the years from as early as the 1870s right up till 1937 when they were finally condemned as unfit for human habitation.
Please keep a look out for our upcoming video where we take to for a look around some of the extensive remains of Dinorwic quarry itself.

Thanks Scott, really appreciate you taking the time to watch 😊
I guess people were made of stronger stuff in those days just to earn a wage and put food on the table. They probably worked long hours as well … but at least they had a washing machine! 😂Hauntingly beautiful … reminds me of something out of a BBC period drama. Cheers guys.

Yes Stu certainly likes to add abit of entertainment to the video 😄. I think people were definitely tougher back then and willing to do whatever it took even if it meant putting their lives at risk unfortunately.. Thanks for taking the time to comment, always appreciated 👍😊
