​@The_Garmin_Guru IMO true professional bass fishing is not using livescope. There should be restrictions just like any other sport to create level playing field and I just don't think FFS has a place in professional bass fishing...buy again...just my opinion.

i loved watching tac do so well just fishing the bank. DC had it dialed.

I watched it Livestream and DC is such a humble champion and I thought it was so cool that people came out into their yards to cheer for him and congratulate him and he had friends on the lake ( and family) cheering too. I wish you would have given some props to Dalton Head who had his own local community and did a fantastic job getting to the knockout round, he’s gonna be great and for a college angler he is Great…

Why would you put an asterisk beside the win . everyone is using it so it’s not an advantage. When there was nothing on the boats and the flasher came along the guys who learned it had an advantage till everyone started using it Then sonar came along and those guys had an advantage. You may not like it but it’s only an advantage to someone if you’re too lazy to learn how to use it.

Take the crutch away and show us you're a pro. The rankings would immediately change. It's a clear advantage that a "professional" angler shouldn't need or want over the fish!! It's like Hank Parker said, "We have people that know nothing about fishing winning tournaments because of a piece of technology"

I don’t have it myself but that’s the rules they are playing with so I’m not going to knock him because he knows how to use it. They can start another trail with no electronics and I would be okay with it , but I can’t knock a guy for doing what’s within the rules.

More pros should grow a set of balls and speak out There's only a few reasons they don't They have no balls!! They are slaves to sponsor dollars and being told not to speak out Or they need it to be competitive Bassmaster = cash whores who cares more for tech companies payouts than they do the foundation of the sport, and the substainability for the fishieries. Not to mention a pro shouldn't need or want a crutch that shows in real time your lure falling by a fish and the fish chasing it. A so called pro shouldn't need that advantage over the fish. So called professional bass anglers don't give a shit about what it's doing to the sport Being a pro bass angler in 2024 doesn't mean you're a professional angler that knows fish patterns and behaviors. It simply means they have enough money to buy technology to keep them from having to learn how to really be a pro

Hank parker made some great points on the subject. Something else that should be mentioned is people using FFS will break people's records that they set without FFS. It would be like college football and other sports players being allowed to use steroids and compete. With FFS you can pinpoint individual fish and put a lure right on their nose. While doing that you can tease them into biting. I don't care what anyone says its not the same as any of the other sonars available. To me the only people that argue that FFS doesn't matter are the people that can't catch the same fish without it. I know a guy that couldn't win $h!t on his home lake. Now he has a FFS and has won multiple tournaments.

Would love to hear your opinion on FFS! Why does it seem that most everyone is so resistant to giving their opinions on FFS?

JT, Chad and your on air chemistry is the best thing going for modern day televised professional fishing leagues. It really is the highlight. I am not a fan of FFS. I am absolutely impressed with the technology. All my life if I came home from fishing and had no fish to show for it, I was always told “ that’s why they call it fishing and not catching “. Now a days the electronics are doing the fishing and telling the anglers exactly where to catch them. I truly enjoyed watching Tak with the cover on his FFS, baitcaster in hand and just fishing. Continue the great work JT!

The live scope shrinks the lakes a certain times of the year. If you are going to continue using such divises to find fish, you are probably going to need to limit significantly the number of contestants in your field. But, as equiptment gets better and people get more versed at using it. That may not help either. Remember, 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water. But this is no longer a contest between fisherman. It's a contest between money and equiptment.

yeah, another Clickbait post. Why even mentioned a fight. Why don’t you mention about how to now turn into the electronic show. When you see such a divide and the last year and a half or the top 10% of the anglers are catching 15 to 20 25 pounds more than 80% of the field. You know you need to eliminate the majority of the sophisticated electronics.

😢😢 FFS who cares. I’ve lost tournaments because of it, but also have won big over it. Still takes practice to master. Guess what? I have one now and learning. Caught my PB yesterday with it 6.9. Trust me it sealed the deal, because I would have pulled the bait because it was right at the trolling motor. Thanks Garmin!!!

I watched it in person. Actually got pushed out of where I was fishing a couple of times. Once by Dustin. If I can land a 1/4 oz lure in your lap. You are to close to me. Gave up a spot one day to let JW have the fish I seen. Then he didn't want me to finish going up where he just came from. Lost my respect for several of them.

A world record whitetail shot in a high fence reserve and or shot with using cell cams is not considered a world record because it is not fair chase. Allowing ffs in tournament fishing is turning the lakes into high fenced game reserves. When 95% plus fish are caught using ffs no one can honestly say that without it the results would be the same.

I watched a documentary on the war of 1812z. The FFS change is just stopped me reading bassmaster and stopped my interest in following tournaments.

I fished tournaments for years and it used to be fun no hot heads no your on my spot crap and about 5 years ago i had had enough it was to the point that it wasnt fun so i stop i still fish but i will never fish another tournament again

Anytime something comes out that gives anglers who take the time to learn and use it, better chances of winning, it gets bashed and slammed by people, I.e. the Alabama rig. I’m learning FFS like everyone else and have made the mature decision to refrain from tournament fishing until I’m confident enough to compete again. But I’m not gonna get on every video/ post/TikTok and ridicule it. We are competitive anglers folks and I’m as competitive as any. But let’s grow up. Love your content JT and sorry for the long comment.

Forward facing sonar and a bunch of boats packed in the same spot. Sounds horrible. I do appreciate the video, cause i didn’t watch it. I’d rather watch recaps like this vs watching the event. Didn’t watch this event or BM classic. Watching fishing tournaments sucks now.
