Maybe but I don't really think that's the case. This epic was most likely written during the Classical or Hellenistic period, which places it at a considerable distance chronologically to the Late Bronze Age, unlike the Iliad and the Odyssey. Also, considering how much the ancient Greeks cherished the Homeric epics, it seems quite natural that they would craft parodies based on them as well.
