Insofar as I am aware, the Parsi' that formed the Persiam Empire actually originated "in India" and were ejected out of India. But their descendants or a core of them fled and were allowed back in when Islam Conquerored the Sasanians. The Parsi were one of the Aryan Tribal Confederates that migrated into India and settled there. And in the manner of those groups the Parsi had done something or been chosen to be cast out of the land. Forcing them to migrate up into what became Persia. What if any connection they have to the Parthians I don't know. It's entirely possible they were very closely related groups, possibly one and the same.
