Always liked these gen 1 AMXs and Javelins, different and cool, with fantastic styling and the 390 was no joke in the muscle car wars.

100% and such limited production!!! I'd take an AMX or Javelin over a mustang anyday

First cars are pretty special

My brothers best friend from hi school has one, can’t remember if it’s a 69 or 70 but he still has it, hasn’t driven it in years, sitting in his garage out of the weather same color red with black interior. If i didn’t have my 68 charger id be trying to get it from him 4speed car.

Yes, think it had the 390, I remember him sticking it in first gear and letting out the clutch slowly and it would idle with the tires breaking loose like a second hand but ticking every 3,6,9 and 12 o’clock and it had no back seat. It’s in Spokane Washington now….pretty sure it had black stripes down the hood, he got the car in 76 or 77 his first car pretty sure.
