Thank you to the producers of this very fine series! To those who are interested in the Pac. War but have not read "Japanese Destroyer Captain" by Captain Hara, from which much - if not most of this series is taken is a worthy endeavor. It is also nice to stick my phone in a shirt pocket and listen to this producer's flawed but very understandable AI pronunciation as I go about my daily life. Thank again.

Screw the AI narration! Constant mispronouncing words, with a cold "sterile" speech. Absolutely no emotion. You're duped by this flawed technology- it sucks.

@@CTTpgh412 I thank them as well. Enjoyable series. I can also be honest and critique the shitty AI narration. You ain't got the balls to be that truthful. Tough.

so back then was it weird to attack 1 base then go back home? wouldnt you at least destroy the base and take the island?

Bases were attacked and bypassed, Rabaul was bypassed with 100,000 Japanese personnel and surrendered in September 1945. The large naval base at Truk was also attacked and bypassed. Many islands with large contingents of personnel were isolated. They mainly starved and were impotent.
