The AMAZING Samoeng Loop, Chiang Mai, Thailand! 🇹🇭
Let's go for a motorcycle ride and take a look at the amazing Samoeng Loop outside of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand.
It's not just the roads that make this 100km loop great, but also all of the fun and interesting things to see and do.
Whether you're a biker or not, there's something for everyone around the Samoeng Loop.
Riding around northern Thailand is only one part of the adventure. The rest of the fun stuff comes from meeting the people and the experiences that come with exploring the unique culture.

Whilst I can get out without breaking the restrictions, I will! I was back in Pai a few weeks back (3 weeks after my first video). It was good to see the place a little busier and to have the chance to speak with some of the people about how they're coping. Thanks for watching!

Awesome stuff mate! I'm dying to get back on the roads there. I'm doing a 10-day bike ride in Hokkaido next month and while it'll be fantastic, the road rules and speed limits are much more strictly policed in Japan. Also, the speed limits set are way too conservative. One of the things that I adore about riding in Thailand is the freedom to ride as you like (to a much larger extent). I'll have my 2nd vaccine shot next week, so after that, I'll just be waiting for all the restrictions and quarantine rules to be lifted. Riding in Northern Thailand would be an awesome Xmas present.

I'd love to spend more time in Japan! But I can understand how riding there would be somewhat limited by the rules and regs. I hope you're able to make it over here for a ride later this year.

Those are two of the very best right outside of CM! Sometimes I just go for a blast round after work. Come up for a ride if you ever get the chance! Tough right now, I know.

@@HeyKidItsDad it's a shame we can't get out further away. I'm waiting patiently to get over into Nan province to film. 55 yeah, that's a long old ride! Hopefully we'll get a chance to do something together in the future.

I used to own an XSR 900 btw, great bike and excellent handling but a very hard seat I found. I had extra padding done but too no avail. I sold it because of that reason
Make me wanna do that loop again for the hundreth time ! 😅 Where did you buy your jacket? Looks awesome

Yes, domestic travel is pretty tricky at the moment. I've heard of people taking private transport from CM to BKK. I believe flights are suspended right now. Let me know when you're in town and I'll introduce you to the motorcycle community here 👍🏻🏍️

I used to be a professional musician, so I'm always very particular about what music I use. Maew Nam Chok. It actually came from my ex who called me a "lucky cat" after a bike accident in CM. In English, perhaps you know, we have a saying that a cat has 9 lives. I'm now down to around 4!

Fit some Pirelli STRs on a naked bike and you have really good dirt performance, with only a small loss in road grip over sport touring tyres ....
