It’s such a strange thing to be proud of two people I don’t know; yet I feel like I do know. Your genuineness, vulnerability, humility, silliness, and more make you easy to champion for . . . . So much so that I was in tears when you went through that smoke and was like “They did it!! By God they did it!” Congrats guys! You deserve it!

This is exactly how I felt and what I attempted to explain to my family when I was crying at the end. “You don’t know these people”, that didn’t feel like the case. These people made me laugh before, during and after the pandemic.

I mentioned when you announced you were going to be on TAR that I realized you were training for it when I saw you running at Shelley Lake. To see what a magnificent accomplishment you achieved since is indescribably euphoric. I have a friend here in Raleigh who lost his mom last year and has been battling depression. He called me to tell me that his unbridled joy when you crossed the finish line was the first time since he lost her that he felt nothing but pure happiness. Thank you for modeling a healthy relationship, thank you for talking frankly about mental health issues, and thank you for running An Amazing Race!

We use to watch The Amazing Race for many years and then stopped (gimics drove us away) but watched this year because YOU were on there. So we were cheering you on every single week but also enjoying this version of the Race! You guys winning was the cherry on top but it was great to get to know the other racers a bit too. This is the first time we've ever wanted to know MORE about them so I'm so very happy to hear you are going to try to get them on your podcast in the near future. For all you guys did for us, and others, during the pandemic (often the big laugh just when we needed it) we believe that you deserve this win...over and above what you guys did physically on the actual race, we believe you raked in tons of Good Karma points for the work you did to help keep everyone sane the past two years. Congrats!!!

I really liked everyone on the show this season. Pretty much would have been happy if any of them won. No one sabotaging or even giving false directions to others. People working with other teams without making “alliances”. I really enjoyed this season.

When I saw that Kim and Penn we're running The Amazing Race I got so excited and my husband thought I was going nuts! I have followed their KZread channel for years but my husband was unaware of them. I started telling him all about them and on the very first episode I told him that they had every tool in their box to win this. That they were the perfect couple to Runaway with the money! That the skills they had from their KZread channel and their skills as a married couple run away with it. I continued to get all excited and worked up every week as the show progressed. I too felt like I had friends running The Amazing Race. Best amazing race ever! I'd be bouncing up and down all excited every time they came in first telling my husband " see, I told you so!" The night they won I laughed cheered... and yes I cried. I called it from day one!!! This was the most fun I've had since the pandemic🥰 congratulations Penn and Kim!

A few episodes ago I told my wife that, if you guys got to the final, you'd have an advantage in the race recap challenge because of Penn's superpower ADHD memory. But I love the fact that it was Kim's meticulous drawing and note taking that made the difference! So happy for y'all, all 3 finalists were great people and deserved to win but thrilled with you representing the rest of us 40+ parents out there!

Watching how kind, caring, understanding, and supportive you two were to each other throughout the entire race was so inspiring. My daughter and I were pulling for our favorite family singers that got us through the pandemic and always made us smile. It was so fun to watch you guys throughout this race and to see you come out on top. You are always so open and honest about your struggles and this win felt like a win for your viewers and/ or those that face similar struggles. Thank you for all you do and huge congrats!

I haven't even made it to the end of the recap, but I just love how you talk about your panic attack and how you worked through it. You are part of changing how we perceive anxiety and mental health. And also, I totally get the auditory trigger of Penn breathing too loud while working out!

I would love to hear more about the 6 months after and all the different times you had to redirect all your kids questions. Like what questions did they ask and how you answered them differently each time to not give anything away. How many times did this happen? Did they ask more in the beginning and less at the end or the other way around or were they consistent with the rate of questions over the 6 months. It is sounds like the real final challenge on this race was the last 6 months that ended with the final reveal show. BTW, I honestly think a married couple in love is the best team to win. The holding of your hands as you get to the mat and the loving embrace and kiss on hearing you won just could not be beat. You had everyones hearts.

I had watched your KZread videos here and there but never really felt connected. The lockdown videos, homeschooling, the 80’s , anxiety, ADD, I could all connect with from my own life but in a fun way. Watching these podcasts have helped me understand/connect my corks with anxiety,ADD, dyslexia as a teacher (last year all online teaching). It is hard to manage on a daily basis and listening to you the last couple months has helped me. You guys are such an amazing couple with the kindest souls I have seen in a long time. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences on the race but even more your daily life experiences that can be a struggle. I have always just tried to hide my struggles the best I can from friends, co workers and even family which makes them worse and in turn feel lonely. You showed me how it isn’t always a bad thing or disability to hide. I have now subscribed so I don’t miss anything you put up on KZread. :)

I feel like you have shown how amazing parents are and that being a parent can be a true superpower! Your drawings are the definition of being a mom, keeping track of every detail in life even when the distractor (Phil in the race, kids in life) are attempting to keep you from noticing the real details. And then getting on that red eye and jumping right back into real life by driving your kids to school that next morning.

I love how strong you are as a couple, how you you support each other with your marriage and through your unique mental challenges. Especially coming from someone who struggles from mental challenges myself. You are an inspiration. We were fortunate to meet Kim and the kids randomly playing with ours at Herron park in Aspen, CO. Fun family and thankful to meet you guys! Sorry we missed meeting Penn. Penn, thank you for pointing out the lamp light triggering your ADHD. It was bugging two people in our family, and this helped confirm a suspicion on why homework focus is a struggle for one of our kids. It will help me have better patience and understanding. We watched Amazing Race for first time because you were on it. It was exciting to see how your great teamwork, humbleness, and supporting each stood out and helped you win. Something for everyone to strive for. Your homework and preparation totally paid off. Congrats on winning! You bring much laughter to our family and helping us grow. We just started listening to your Everybody Fights book and I can already tell it is going to be a life changer for our family bringing us advice from marriage coach Dr. Christopher Edmonston and your real life struggle examples. I don't mean to focus on something so superficial, but I was thinking the same! - her makeup looked awesome and flawless in this podcast - I found myself looking at it in awe and analyzing it for ideas and guesses at what she might be using. And she had a beautiful manicure too. Both Kim and Penn are SO much more than just physically beautiful people - I mean they're so much more beautiful AS the KIND of people they are. But darn if I don't also often find myself going "dang, those two are SO GOOD looking!". Kim is sometimes compared to Angelina Jolie but I think she's even prettier. Fan girling! 😜

I've watched many, many seasons of The Amazing Race. By far, this was the best one in terms of the people competing, and Kim & Penn, you're perfect examples of that. I'm sure there were things that were said between the two of you off camera that weren't as supportive as what we saw, but if everyone treated others in their lives (not just their partners, but everyone) like you treated each other and the other racers, the world would be a much better place. You were so supportive, so caring, and it was just a hundred percent #couplesgoals. What an amazing example you set for your kids on how to treat people and how to persevere and how to behave even when things seem impossible. Congratulations, and thank you for being such a large part of why this is my favorite season of TAR.

Couldn't agree more. Best TAR season ever because of Penn & Kim and the rest of the cast. Such a delight to see what actual genuine kindness and support and living one's values looks like in action. And a reality show and competition WITHOUT the low grade garbage / low hanging fruit of bad behavior and salaciousness that they've kind of become known for.
