Talks at Google hosted Phil Keoghan, host and a producer of CBS’s ten-time Emmy Award-winning reality series, THE AMAZING RACE, for a talk on April 17th, 2017.
Join in as Phil takes us inside The Amazing Race with behind-the-scenes stories and highlights. The beloved reality show kicks off the 29th season this year as 11 teams of strangers pair up to run the race of a lifetime and compete for the $1 million prize.
The talk also covers Phil’s new documentary, LE RIDE. Le Ride shares the story of four young men from Australia and New Zealand who competed in the 1928 Tour de France, considered by many as the toughest sporting event in the world. Phil and his wingman Ben Cornell took on the biggest physical and mental challenge of their lives, attempting to recreate the route on vintage steel bikes, with no gears.
The talk was hosted by Cindy Halvorsen (a Googler and Winner of Season 19 of The Amazing Race).

The Amazing Race was always a bonding moment for me and my Mom growing up. This show ignited my love for travel and I work as a Travel Advisor now because of TAR. I can’t thank Phil enough for being such an inspiration. ❤❤

They were my favorite team and season 19 was my favorite season. Everyone was so nice and down to earth
waiting for 19 hours.....phil deserve more attention

I have a autistic brother and the doctor told my mom that he would not talk I hear that and shocked my finger at him and now he talks and lives on his on I do love my brother and help him though
I feel this gave us a chance to better know Phil... But she missed opportunities to ask follow-up questions for his answers

Phil is a loquacious guy - almost the opposite of the robotic, terse man on the Amazing Race. The female host was not very good and rather annoying. Cheers.

Verbose. He's very talkative but he's also a Gemini so it makes sense if you're into that. The "female host" is Cindy who competed with her husband and won Season 19. She lost control of the interview here but it's hard to compete with a natural host who's a fast talker.

Every time I tried to watch this show all I saw were people running past iconic sites like the Eiffel Tower or St. Paul's Cathedral on their way to the next clue or train station. Why not just have them run around a race track and save the expense?
No wonder Google is so crazy. It took all of 10 minutes for the interview to start leaning politically. That’s a shame. Let’s just enjoy a great show together. Come on lady!
