Комедия

For me, sometimes just showing up is a victory. Never has it been more true for me than showing up to start The Amazing Race, AGAIN. But we did it. After a 19 month pause in production, we restarted The Race. Thank you to Mike Norwood and Moe Badger for their words of wisdom, infectious energy, and for joining us today.

I think the reason they are showing all those cheeky comments and quick kisses is because it's so refreshing to see a married couple that have been together for a reasonable length of time (I wouldn't call you guys old!!) and so clearly in love with each other and supportive of each other. I love it! It's not inappropriate, it's fun and heart warming!

As an expat currently living in Switzerland I wanted to share that the Swiss passed laws years ago dedicating Sundays as a day of leisure and family. Shops are closed so employees can enjoy the day. No noisy activities like mowing lawn or recycling bottles. Depending on the weather you will find most people off enjoying outdoor activities. It is very strange for Americans but truly wonderful when you embrace it.

I've been immensely enjoying your TAR recaps and looking forward to them as much as the actual episodes of the show. I didn't think that adding the "interview" segments would really add that much more, but I was wrong. This was fantastic. Thank you for doing these podcasts and videos, and thank you for letting us get to experience Mike and Moe along with you. I had stopped watching TAR a few seasons back, and finding out that the Holderness family was going to be on it is what got me to come back to the show. Admittedly, I've found it a bit of a double-edged sword. I'm *really* enjoying this season, and getting to watch you guys compete, but I've literally never been as invested in a team before, which is also heightening the anxiety as I root for you! I get so nervous during your tasks, and so thrilled when you do well.

I don't usually watch recap shows but you guys make it so interesting and fun. Some of my favorite parts: - Kim saying that Penn lost his sunglasses and hat, Penn jumps in with (paraphrased), "That's why I brought two hats! Oh wait, actually I lost the second one too." (A bit scary how much you guys remind me of my husband and I sometimes lol). - Kim taking notes on directions all the way up the mountain so she could reverse navigate when it was time to leave...brilliant. - The way you guys were able to power through the flag challenge. You could see Kim was struggling, and then you could see her put on that "Game Face" smile. I do that too and recognized it right away, that's the look of, "I'm going to power through and do this or die trying." - Penn and everyone else encouraging Sheri when she was struggling on the mountain. Fear of heights aside, I remember hiking in Yosemite when I was much younger and fitter, and high altitude is killer if you're not used to it. I still remember the feeling of air going in and out of my lungs but feeling like there just wasn't enough oxygen in there to do anything. I enjoyed getting to know Mike and Moe a bit better, I wish they had included the extra task that they and Arun/Natalia had to complete. They got some criticism on Reddit for being the first out twice, but with how compressed this leg was having an extra task really seems like an almost insurmountable obstacle.

I love you guys! I was already a fan, but I didn't know that you were going to be in The Amazing Race until I saw your post on Facebook!! I subscribed to Paramount+ specifically to watch you on the program. I hope that you win!! I'm an older person, too, and love to watch y'all go for it!!

I don’t & never have watched the show - including now. I don’t have a TV or watch regular cable channels so I’m not even sure where I’d watch it. But I completely love listening to this podcast & watching the clips on KZread of you guys ( I don’t know anyone else on the show) So just know you’re loved so much - I’m happy to listen to your stories having nothing to reference!

Man Penn while you were running and passing people I was just thinking "please don't fall please don't fall" and Kim when you said "I'm a sure thing" I had to rewind because I was like no she wouldn't say that.... but you did and I laughed really hard. So happy to hear from the singing cops I was so sad to see them go both times.

I love your show recaps! So interesting to hear about what goes on behind the scenes. Something you guys most likely would not know & I do not know how many other viewers saw this, but as I viewed when you guys cut away to go to the interview segment - you said “we will go change our clothes”, referring back to earlier information that it was taped the day before. Well, immediately a commercial about bras came up! Comically - perfect timing!

So, the instrument they use for those sound effects is not that, but an ocean harp (aka waterphone). You're close in that it's usually made of stainless steel. They are cool as heck and not cheap. They're used in tons of reality shows in tension scenes, and in horror films.

I know I sound like everyone else when I say I love your family. You guys are relationship goals. I love how real you guys are and talk about the good and the bad, because in the real world, relationships have the good and the bad side. I love your kids. They are so much fun and I can tell you guys are wonderful parents. I love how funny you are. When you guys were talking about Penn on the mountain, I was thinking to myself, "ya, he was moving like a mountain goat" and no soon had I finished the thought, Kim says the same thing. LOL!! I know a lot of people with ADHD and I have to say I find them fun to be around, a little exhausting sometimes, but lots o fun. My nephew has ADHD and when you guys talk about it, I can clearly see my nephew doing the same things. In fact I can see a little bit of my nephew in Penn. Please keep up the amazing work. You guys are such a perfect couple and I feel like you balance each other out. I can't wait till next week when we can watch you guys on the race and then the next podcast.
