I like the 567 model more and more. The interior steve is what draws me away from the 389. I am falling for the 567 model more and more.

If you want interior room the 567 is where its at for sure
For a drop nose truck, thats one sweet ride. I'm still partial to the long nose 389/379 Petes, but then again, who doesn't like a classic looking Pete/Kenworth?

Agreed!
This is the only style Peterbilt I'd drive. Beaut!
God damn this is glorious! Not a fan of the rear door to the sleeper though.
You always have the best truck videos. Should change the name to dream truck sales

Steve Carbone Sense this is my last truck before the retirement retreat . I've been reading about how fuel efficient the 450 Cummins is paired with a 10 speed Automatic I was reading that it's getting in the 8s . But I want the 500 Cummins with the 13 speed Automatic I really like how you hard load your trucks . I was in Rush Phoenix they don't dress them up as nice as Tulsa and basically for the Sam Price . I am on my way back .

My good friend just bought a 567 with a 450 ISX with a 10 speed Automatic he is getting 8s but he has to keep is foot out of it . For me I want a few now horses to pull my wagon. I am looking at a 500 ISX 10 of 13 Automatic . Right now I am looking few tips for rears. I drove my friends 567 impressive . I like Black Metallic but man it shows dirt
I have one in black...mine is 285 wheelbase...love it

Should have matched the sleeper in that red stitching!~ Do they offer legendary lime green?
after watching this again, I have a new outlook on the truck. My old truck is seasoned, but the new truck is a flavor that can be welcomed highly! Pete's have always been a bit small inside. That's the single reason I prefer other trucks.

What is it with Peterbilt's square styling? Don't they know that aerodynamics play a key role in fuel efficiency?
@charliesnipes7313
8 жыл бұрын
+Okie Rider This truck is not designed to be a fuel efficient truck. It doesn't get hardly any better mileage than the 389. Hence why it doesn't have the aero package which would have sides going almost all the way to the ground and a very low bumper. So you clearly don't understand what Peterbilt is going for. It's just a new look for a truck.

Peterbilt Steve .... you sure do know how to build trucks! I have a really stupid question.... Can you order that truck with a deleted sleeper? just to have a little more room than a standard day cab. I have seen older 379's with a rear cab filler where a sleeper used to be.
I'd love to see someone customize one of these

I watch and read a lot on semi truck's, but when it comes to options and customization ,you have these other channels beat, and I love your direct talk, and I'm looking in another year to buy a truck, 567 peterbilt for intermodal ,port and rail ,as well as airport freight, I love the fact of (one stop shopping) the fact I can buy a semi and get everything done in one place is amazing and reassuring, and puts my mind at rest, I can't get t that in my state of Pennsylvania

Thanks for the compliments. I sell quite a few trucks in your area and hear the same things. I am located in Oklahoma.
STEVE AFTER IT ARRIVES IN 4-5 WEEKS CAN IT STILL QUALIFY UNDER A LEASE IF I WAS TO PUT 10-20% DOWN? THE SBA BANKS LOVES THE WORD "LEASE"
All that equipment and i bet even in now 2016 they still have not thought of putting in temperature control as in you put the thing at 20degrees and it stays there.
Does the steering wander as bad as the 579? The 579 can have an absolute zero alignment and still be hard to keep lane control. Also need to be able to tilt the steering wheel wheel up flat so laptops, books and atlas wont keep sliding off. How does the extra insulation in the sleeper keep out noise like engine fans, reefers and governors?
@SteveCarbone
8 жыл бұрын
+RatCatcher The extra insulation does a great job with noise. It is actually weird to me how quiet it really is. The pull out desk top on the passenger side and the desktop in the work station are great places for an atlas or laptop. Dot look for changes in the column anytime soon.
Очень классный тигач мне понравилось
What kind of feedback from your customers have you had with the 567? I recently ordered one for log hauling up here in Canada. I went 567 because I wanted a Pete but I wanted something different from everyone else

About how much extra is a an automatic versus a manual for a 10 speed and 18 speed? Is the mileage pretty much the same? Thanks for your education and the always great videos, Steve.
@SteveCarbone
8 жыл бұрын
+Frank Swain For general round numbers an 18 speed costs $1700 more than a 10 speed. A 13 speed auto is right at $9000 more than a 10 speed manual and an 18 speed auto is right at $11000 more than the 10 manual. Fuel mileage on an automatic vs a properly used manual is going to be the same. The final gear ratios are all very close if not the exact same on any of the overdrive transmissions. Thank you for the kind words. Hope I was helpful.

what happened to them being hoods? why the snub nose? is that going to be like the KwT660? or is that replacing the 389?

+Lajak Culberson Not replacing the 389. It is a 389 chassis with a 579 cab and sleeper and this is the hood they designed to with that package.

not much closet or storage space for clothes unless you want to lift the bed every time you change or w/e. doesn't look like truck manufacturing cares that we live in these and that's kinda important to have that luxury?
@SteveCarbone

+capsonjames I usually get compliments on the storage in these 567's. The bed is hinged on a pair of premium gas shocks that make lifting the bed very easy. I like the idea of everything being under the bed and not on display.
