Believe me when I say I’ve been tolerating a lame TikTok camera setup that did not allow me to even see my screen. Thanks to my friends at SmallRig, I am finally able to get all the little parts that built my safe, functional, and flexible TikTok and KZread set up with my Sony FX3. See how I can now transform a camera to suit vertical shooting to horizontal in a flash!
***Quick mention: There's been an update to the cage from SmallRig (links below). New cage has better access to the camera joystick and has better mounting points for security. The handle is now a separate item as well!

Smallrig stuff is like Lego. You can build anything if you have stuff already. I came up with so many different solutions, it's so fun to just sit down and build. Love it!

My rig looks so similar…Great minds! That rotating smallrig handle is so useful with all the positions it us effective and cold shoe mounts right where you need them.
Rad setup, I need more quick swap setups like this. I do love shooting Open Gate on my GH6 though. Don't need to change anything and can use the exact same clips vertical or horizontal.

You are correct in feeling unsure about using a Nato rail system on the base plate. You would be better off looking at the Arca Swiss system for this purpose. Nice rig.
