    TUF Gaming is such a cool brand. I ended up getting a TUF Gaming motherboard and monitor just because they were the best value options at the time and I was already familiar with ASUS' monitor OSD and BIOS from my previous hardware.

    Absolutely love the black and gold theme. All time favorite build i've ever seen. Hands down. Asus Tuf branding is my favorite series of GPU's. I also love their motherboards and monitors. I love the Tuf lineup, I like it way more than ROG. Just personal preference. I just feel like the build quality is so superior, up there with strix cards and motherboards, mind you with a tad less RGB, but i'm not a fan of heavy RGB anyways. I just bought a Tuf 4070ti yesterday, picking up a 7700x and Tuf B650 motherboard tomorrow. Was looking into this case or Lian Li. I have an MSI aio from my previous 3070 build I am gonna use for now but i'll probably go with something minimal with no RGB except for the waterblock. I like Be Quiet, and arctic coolers. Also grabbing an NZXT 850 gold psu because my 650w seasonic focus plus won't do the job. It could but no headroom.

  • @volcalstone

    @volcalstone

    Yeah I like black and gold too. I'm wanting to make my build around this too but using all MSI items when possible. Picked up a 4090 Liquid X recently. I'm eyeballing an MSI MEG m/b. The matching 1300W PSU is OOS until another month. Not sure if I could wait that long. The only thing is that I heard MSI AIOs aren't that good tho. I might get another brand instead.

    Great callout at 5:51, the ability to use affordable 240mm AIO's and dual tower air coolers with AMD and Intel flagship CPU's by simply following the Intel/AMD spec for power limit vs letting mainboards go wild is a big deal in terms of budgets and case selection. I'm particularly impressed with THIS combination as I've used the RGB version of the Asus TUF LC240 AIO's before, and the weakest part of the design is their fans... which seem to be doing just fine in this combination. I realize this is an Asus TUF build, but putting a pair of Arctic P12 PWM PST fans on that rad will give you even more temperature headroom with lower noise levels than the Asus TUF fans.

  • @TechTesters

    @TechTesters

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks! Technically I could point at the board vendors that all push the CPU beyond it's specs, but I get none of them want to look worse when someone reviews performance. Agreed btw, the fans that come with the AIO are "ok" but also pretty basic, which does fit the price class I guess. Haven't tested with other fans, but I'm sure it could do better with higher-end ones.

  • @Cornholio_X
    @Cornholio_X Жыл бұрын

    The cpu performance are great but power consumption isn't. I just hope the next gen cpu's are more efficient. Thankfully i can upgrade later with an AIO 420mm radiator in my case. Corsair has one of it.

    Two things I would do differently. One, I wouldn't go for a black case, though I have to admit this case with the lights from the fans set to gold looks great. I don't like black color for electronics, but your combo makes it look really good. Two, even if I could afford them, I would refuse to buy hardware with such high power consumption. Not just for the cost, but for the environment. I could perhaps tolerate a RTX 4080, and go for a lower consumption CPU. 500W should be at least the total consumption of the PC, not almost the GPU alone. But that's just me. Otherwise, I do like ASUS and I would have no problem getting their hardware. Same with Intel and Nvidia. Thanks for the video, plus you look great and very festive. Have a great new year!

    I also have an all TUF build, but with a RTX 3090 TUF, HyperX RGB RAM, the same AIO cooler and the GT501 case. I also built in an LCD monitor and custom RGB lighting. I gotta say, the new GT502 together with the 4090 TUF is looking very sexy. The fact that the GT502 can hold 13 fans blows my mind. I don't understand why there is no 360 AIO cooler in TUF branding (yet), though. I think there is a market for it. 😄 Anyway, awesome build, I love it. 💕

    Build my PC with a custom Corsair a case, Cooler master 850 W Gold power EATX supply, Asus Z590 PLUS WIFI, 16GB DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz, Asus GTX 1080 TI custom water-cooled NZXT 3 fans, 2 M2 500GB, 1 Intel Optane for swapfile 32 GB, Samsung EVO 2 + EVO Q 1 for a total of 6 TB SSD. Stil runs most games on ultra but stammers on 4k here and there because it lacks the new DSR AI of the RTX cards. Hence ill be making a step up eventually from the GTX 1080 TI -> RTX 4070 TI - 4080. Power consumption wise it's probably best to take a 4070 TI. Can't wait to see Realtime lighting in action as well. :D

    This is a great video. I'm about to start building a system identical to this for the most part. I'll be using the TUF LC360 for cpu cooling, DDR5 ram, same processor and GPU. In your build you have 6 additional fans, 3 on the bottom (intake) and 3 on the side (not intake?) My question is did you use the 2 ARGB controllers because you have 2 sets of 3 fans, or did you buy single fans that don't have the controller. Even better, do you need to use the controller at all? I'm new to the whole RGB world, so lots of questions. Also, did you use a product like cableMOD to connect your GPU - 16pin to 4 x 8pin? Thanks, Mark.

    I've been a fan of the Asus TUF motherboards since the original Sabretooth Z170 Mark 1. For my personal builds they tend to have the right balance of features & price, and have been rock solid stable for me. I like the aesthetics of the TUF motherboards & GPUs as well. I don't like my computers looking like they're at a rave party :) Probably the only thing I would have done differently is the size of the AIO. I frequently run my CPUs hard with productivity tasks, so for a high-end CPU like the i9-13900K or a Ryzen 9 7950X I'd use either a 280mm or 360mm AIO, depending on the case. But this is one NICE looking build, bravo!

    Your reviews are just amazing bringing out information I used to search everywhere. Thank you so much for these ❤. Just one question for you I will be glad if you can answer. If I have 4 kits or 12 fans of tuf argb fans you showed here. How can I install them? can I daisy chain them from one controller to another. I have just 1 argb header and HAF 700 case I am waiting for arrow lake but bought these fans after seeing this review.

    Hello Nadalina: Are you controlling the fans in the BIOS with Q Fan Control? I have the Asus Z690 TG board and the AI Suite that is on the website is missing the Fan Xpert. I usually build with AMD with ROG Strix boards, but caught a good deal on an Tuf Gaming/Intel bundle. I did read that you can use Armory Crate to control the fans, but Armory Crate just made a mess of them. Love your new Tuf Gaming build!

    The build looks awesome! It would be great if you threw in any 360 on top to see if actually keep the temps down. OR put the 240 on the side and the 3 fans up top. AND/OR remove the metal side panel because I'm wondering if you're getting enough airflow through those small holes. And did you try adding a rear exhaust fan? And maybe you need a smoke machine to see what the airflow looks like. Just thinking out loud ^_^. Cheers!

    If they had a TUF themed 360 I would have ;) As for the airflow, that's not the problem, the case stays cool enough, but AIOs like this just cannot easily get the heat out of a 300W CPU.

    You're running negative pressure with 5 exhaust and only 3 intake. You're better off running 6 intake and 2 exhaust given the heat that the 13900 and 4090 can crank out. More cool air is always best, and the positive case pressure will help keep dust from building up inside it as long as that case has filters on your intakes.

    Ok, so as you have two M.2 and connect only a 2TB stick, you avoid talking about available slots for disks. Won't even mention that I need space for 4 3.5in HHDs, as everyone will say why I use mechanical disks on 2023 -won't bother to answer what is obvious- but if I have a couple of SSDs, where can I put any HDD/SSD in this case? There's a lot of space, everyone can see that, but seems like a lot of wasted space, lot of air circulating around.... nothing but a CPU, and a GPU. Noone needs 13 fans for only those two components.

    Soon I will be building a very similar computer but I am waiting for the premiere of this TUF Z790 motherboard with DDR5, I live in Poland and so far it is not available for purchase from us (there are versions with DDR4 available). As soon as this board shows up, I buy it and assemble a monster, I already have the TUF RTX 4090, it's waiting on the shelf :D

    Wait a minute, the tuf gaming z790 plus wifi with ddr5?? I searched high and low (just amazon and in a few local shops) but I can only find either the z790 ddr4 version, or the z690 ddr4 or ddr5 version, and I had to settle on the z690 ddr5. So the z790 ddr5 version actually exists??

    Hello, i have a question about this fan pack, I have a TUF GAMING X570-PLUS/BR but this motherboard just have 1 ARGB 5v header so, if i buy 3 packs x9 fans can i use 3 splits cable to make 3 cables with 3 fans each and connect these fans in the same hub controller to connect this hub in my motherboard? How much fans this hub controller support in each door?

    I like the idea behind ASUS TUF products "superior durability, dependable stability and great value", not sure how well it is executed though... It does seem to get better. I have an ASUS TUF RTX 3080 apart from one little detail (and the armory crate nonsense) nothing really to complain about.

    I have TUF 4090 and coil whine is through the roof. It's not a defect by any means, but it gets wild at times even with slight undervolting, so keep that in mind. It doesn't bother me as much as I play in a headset 101% of the time, but playing with speakers would be close to impossible without getting distracted. I think the main problem is the way TUF is built - it has a lot of metal framing and metal resonates very well. So yeah, temps are dead low and performance is through the roof, but get ready for some Deep Purple on the background when running any games (even Runescape 3 on max) as it will go full guitar solo.

    Hm, no coil whine on this one. Normally I'd RMA coil whiny cards but with the current market, I get not wanting to.

    @@TechTesters Mine goes full 'screaming cowboy' when I run Heaven Benchmark 4.0 on Extreme. xD I'd RMA it, but seems like a small thing to RMA over, coil whining is always a gamble, cause technically it's not a defect, plus ok, it whines, but I play in a headset most of the time and cannot hear it AT ALL through a headset. If I RMA, it will most likely end up in someone else's PC and they might use speakers or be more sensitive to sound. So I'd rather take an expensive hit than be part of someone else's bad day.

    I'm not that TUF myself :P I have the TUF X-570 Pro, the TUF 3080 OC and a TUF VG27AQ1A monitor...but I like the TUF products and I think the PC build here is pretty nice looking and that color scheme is as well, I much prefer it over a complete rainbow but you definitely have to like the style of the case and I probably wouldn't choose this case myself.

    It looks great. That said, I have the same case and am thinking of getting a 4090, so I really wish you had vertically mounted yours to test it :) I don't want to change PSUs (it's already a 1200w one) and the NVIDIA adapter looks like it'll be a problem with the horizontal GPU mount.
