The Alien Storm That Ate Itself
From cyclones to snowstorms, Earth is home to some spectacular weather events. But they're nothing compared to what you can find on the other planets in our solar system. Magnetic tornadoes? Ammonia mushballs? Let's (not literally) dive into some extreme space storms!

Not sure why people use that one these days as the farther out you go in the outer solar system, the faster the winds are by a large margin, and Jupiter is at a poultry speed compared to fastest at Neptune, around 2400Km/h, this isn't the gusts either, just the general wind speed at the equator iirc.

My brain can't understand this
This was absolutely fascinating! I know it probably won't happen until I'm not around to see it or take part, but I'd give up anything to go to another planet or one of the moons of another planet. Even if I knew there was absolutely zero way they could bring me back, I'd still go. No question. To be the very first guy who ventures out onto Mars to get things started for more human colonists to follow would literally be a dream come true for me. I'm fine knowing I won't be back to Earth, and I would consider it a very high honor to be that guy.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that SciShow understands the kinds of conversations I want to be having at parties.
I watch most SciShow "shows" and just realized this is the 'normal' SciShow, with a new set, and you're new (I think). Nice :) .. You've got a good pace, tone of voice, inflection, and mannerisms. loved this episode also. The hexagon on Saturn is bonkers (I remember when they first started talking about it back in the early 90s). Looking forward to all the new interesting goodness that is SciShow :) ..
hurray! she back! 🥹
Is it me, or has Niba's pacing really improved? Great work, really enjoyed the whole video, and I look forward to more. :)

The following is not aimed soley at you. I have noticed that many people get this wrong. I thought that students, especially non native English speakers, reading this might get confused So. 'Effect' is a noun. The effect of the rain on the plants was good. 'Affect' is a verb. To affect something or someone you change it. So the electromagnetic properties .......affect the shape..... (Note present tense English plurals only have an 's' in the 3rd person singular). Or you could say ....the effect of the electro magnetism is that it affects the shape.... I love my native language.

I think the best weather factoid is that it rains diamonds on Uranus and Neptune!

Born just in time to explore hyperspace in your living room through a mature engagement with indigenous plant medicines. Or the secrets of your (and the collective) subconscious with Jungian active imagination, and the application of techniques from human experience like the memory palace (and all the places you can take it beyond memory)
I'm surprised the diamond rain on Uranus and Neptune didn't come up! Which are hypothesized that it could rain diamonds as large as a million carats (200kg/440.9lbs)!!
okay, what happened to Neptune's Great Dark Spot? It was in the science books I read as a kid in the 90s, but nobody talks about it anymore. Did it just kinda lose momentum and fade away?
I don't do dull parties, because dull parties are filled with dull party goers 🧐

I've already been gushing to friends and family about weather on other planets since I was in elementary school, so most of them are already pretty tired of hearing about it. On that note though, really disappointed you didn't mention Venus's pyrite snow or Uranus and Neptune's diamond rain.
Guess Train was sorta right about drops of jupiter?
This is, tragically, pretty much what I do at parties.
I don't need a pin that I will loose, what about a Hoodie or scarf , Scarf great for dancing or that inprotue mask on the train.
Yes, I am cool and go to parties where I talk to people. Such a relatable segue. /s :/

Dude omg I had to ask my Google FOUR TIMES TO STOP PLAYING DARUDE SANDSTORM
All I can think about when someone talks about Titan is that episode of QI with Professor Brian Cox where he was telling a bunch of comedians about it and it quickly devolved into Ewoks being able to live there and could you light the atmosphere like a fart? 😂 top tier infotainment, highly recommend.
