Saga! And thank you! I love this game but the interspersing special effects wound up triggering my migraines, so I couldn’t keep playing it. Super bummer for me but them’s the breaks. This summary definitely helped scratch - heh - the vestigial itch I’ve had the last couple of days from not continuing the campaign.

An amazing summary of this game. It looks really good and I played the first game. This is way different and very confusing tbh. Think I'll wait a bit before I actually play this one tho 😂

Saga! Hey, great summary! I can't play the game, so I watched the gameplay of mkiceandfire. And, although he was very thorough in his videos, I still had some questions after the game ended. My biggest confusion was with the cult of the tree, but your explanation made a lot of sense. I really love the lore in Remedy games and their approach to storytelling. I think that my biggest question now is the same one from the first game: who is Zane, really? Because there is the poet and the filmmaker. Jesse and Cynthia remember him as the poet, and in the blog This House of Dreams, the woman finds his poems. But also, Jesse's psychiatrist says he is a filmmaker, something he reiterates in AWE talking to Alan (a dialogue that is very much like the one in this game, hence Jesse and Darling showing up on the TV in Zane's room), and he is a filmmaker in AW2 as well. I've read some theories on him, but I still think this is open for debate. All I know is that in AW2 he's an asshole. And in his first talk to Alan, when it started playing The Happy Song during their drug fueled frenzy, there was the hint that Alan was Scratch, because this is the same song that plays in the ads for American Nightmare that features Scratch.

Nobody really knows for sure, but I think it is safe to say that he isn't a human. He has to be from some other dimension. He is able to move in and out of the Oldest House and the Dark Place whenever he wants.

Dude worked hard on this video, and it really helped me understand story after I played it. You don’t have to be such a jerk.

Im sure you got more money spamming adverts than the makers of the game got for the game itself. Ask me to be respectful yet spam your viewers with maximum adverts. Respect is earned, you made a good video and ruined it. Shame on you.

@@_Wizzo if its not you then im sorry, it was every 4 minutes last night. I knew youtube was getting worse but long videos have become unwatchable. Think i might just get rid of it alltogether as im not buying premium again. Sorry i didnt mean to offend you you deserve revenue it was not about that it was the amount of adverts that was shown all the best.
