The Airgun Show episode 100 - squirrel hunting & gear roundup IWA 2018, PLUS win a prize!
Спорт
The weather has turned cold again and grey squirrels are homing in on easy food sources, so Mat Manning heads out on a woodland shoot to target the hungry rodents around grain feeders. The rich pickings prove irresistible and Mat manages to make a good bag of bushy-tails.
We’ve also got a roundup of new airgun gear from IWA 2018 in Nuremberg, where we caught up with the latest releases from Theoben, Cometa, H&N, Umarex, Brocock, Daystate, Airgun Technology and Nikko Stirling.
And if that’s not enough, we’ve also got a special competition to mark our 100th episode. Tune in for your chance to win a £500 prize combo including plinking airgun and scope combo, SportsMatch scope Mounts, MTC Rapier Ballistic Rangefinder, a Ridgeline jacket and a BASC goody bag.

I enjoyed that squirrel hunt! Way to put them down, keep up the pressure on them. Great scenery over there, beautiful country you have.

Yet another great vid, congratulations on 100th episode and here's to another 100👍 I wittnesed a small Roe walking past me just yesterday as I lay in wait on of some rabbit action, what a fantastic feeling, as I know you will agree, there are so many benefits to hunting, its not just about pest control, very privileged to be so close to wildlife in their natural habitat. Keep up the good work Mat👍
Congrats on 100 Mat! I've enjoyed many an episode, and look forward to more. ATB, Michael

Many congratulations Mat and the crew on becoming a centurion. (Does that mean you get a telegram from the Queen) Keep the show comming mate. Always great technical detail on both the guns and fieldcraft. Cheers..
As usual a good movie - surprisingly that you talking about meters and not yards for distances.

Hi Mat, nice to see you and the MK4 making a return for the 100th episode, thats quite an achievement given the fickel nature of the anti-hunting brigade that troll the internet. Congratulations to you and all that work on the Airgun Show. /simon
Great comprehensive reviews on all your videos, congrats on the 100 mark. I’ve recently bagged my first rat in my back garden which has actually got me a bottle of whiskey. How do I go about getting on to farms and helping them control pests?
Keep up the good programming I love watching your show I just wish I had as much money to spend on guns is that lol instead I have to stick to my Gamo phox
Top video mate. Really enjoyed it. What sort of time was that shoot? Were you there from like 6AM ish?
Cheers, on your 100th show Mat, you must be doing something right ! Do you ever use a break barrel rifle for ridding the woods of the grey pests? Then again, I can see why you use the Daystate, although I am surprised ( a little ) that you do use a single shot,..referring to not using a magazine loading system.

Hi Reg. I do enjoy using springers from time to time but I shoot a lot better with a PCP. The Mk4, like many FAC airguns, is a little more accurate without the magazine. Best wishes. Mat
great show mat, well done to you all on reaching 100 episodes.using a different headnet?

Thanks Rick. Yep - different head net. Had a rummage around in the pockets of my shooting jackets and found four of them... Cheers. Mat

Matt Manning firstlystly great videos. Thanks to watching you and your videos I am going to be taking up shooting. Over the last few months I have gorged out in your videos and absorbed lots of information. Now I have been looking a different air guns and came across what I think is a good deal but I was wondering your take on it. It's the gmmo phox and comes with everything for £500. Was wondering have you done a review on it or used it? Any help would be awesome and again keep the videos coming

Thanks Matt. I think this will be the gun I will be purchasing. Great review
The Commander has a flip/folding stock not a takedown stock. The stock would have to be removable to be called a takedown stock.
It would be great to enter the competition but no link for the competition.Still a great show to watch. Thanks

The link for the competition keeps resetting ever few seconds not giving me enough time to fill my details in. I've tried various time to complete with no success. Very disappointed. ☹️

hello what air rifle would you recommend for a beginner

A break-barrel, spring-powered gun should make for a simple and affordable introduction to the sport. Best wishes. Mat
good show ,cant understand why you got any thumbs down (must be closed season for troll shooting)
I wonder what would happen if I shot the squirrel with my daystate wolverine .303 100 ft/lbs & hawke 6x24 sidewinder daystate makes and awesome rifle looks like your using a single shot tray I'm kind of awkward at loading pellets one at a time I use the 5 shot magazines I have 3 after 20 shots I need air but look at it this way 20 shots at 100 ft/lbs = 2,000 ft/lbs that left the muzzle of my rifle that's a lot of air nice video I live in California (USA)

theshootingshow thanks bro! Keep up the great vids love this channel
.
If people became vegans and practised yoga maybe we would not need this violence
In The Netherlands shooting outside your own garden is forbidden and so is shooting live animals. So target shooting on paper cards in your ouw yard or at a shootingclub is all you can. Not really interesting compared to the things you see on this channel...
Too much talking
Love your videos, but there's to much talk and not enough action. Sorry, but that's the truth.
