+iheartwanda evette ray The people who design these bags are artists and took time in DESIGNING the bag and the quality and materials are a lot nicer. Some designers design cheaper items but some design more expensive quality bags/clothes that are designed by talented artists/designers and there is nothing wrong with that. I see art in everything I look at. There is even people who design lamps. Nothing is wrong in appreciating artistry in the things you see around you, even if it costs a lot of money.

I do agree that designers don't care, but on that stream of logic, do you think Michael Kors or JC Penney or New York and company care about anybody but themselves either? I wouldn't buy or not buy a purse based on whether I think the designer "cares" about me, because if that's your criteria, you shouldn't buy any purse unless you yourself made it because none of them do! (PS if you decide not to buy a purse and just carry your stuff in a Ziplock bag, Ziplock doesn't care about you either).

Why would I spend $2K for someone's name? I've seen people with the real bags and they have never owned a home. I also know a woman who who live in $330k homes and they wear the fake ones. In response to the guy saying that _"these brands have put a lot of money and effort into their products"_, the amount of money it would cost LV to made a Speedy or Neverfull is a pittance compared to the retail price that they charge. Some canvas, a coating, minimal leather trimmings and a little bit of brass (plated) hardware. You can get the exact same materials used on a bag from any high-street store for less than $50, so why not pay less for a design that you love? Do people not realise the mark-up that these brands put on their products just because it has their name attached to it? The only justifiable price-tag I can honestly think of is Hermes due to them farming their own ostrich and alligator leather.

She said her man would spend a couple g's on her for a bag but he can't even buy her a new weave 🤦🏻‍♂️💀😂

I say GO FOR IT! I wanna buy something because it looks good, and knockoffs look fucking great for like 1/10 of the price or less. Even if there are small differences, the replicas still look really good and won't break the bank. I just bought fake watches that look stunning and costed like 20 dollars. Not really. There's a whole market for high quality replicas, that are exactly the same as the original ones, but without being overpriced because of the brand. I have bought replica louis vuitton sunglasses that have high quality metal, leather, and lenses for 100 bucks, compared to 600-700 of the original ones.

It's just crazy, because the meaning of luxury changed. Back in the day, these designer bags were expensive because 1) The were handmade with the highest quality materials so they would last a lifetime and 2) At the time, designers were thinking up original designs that would last through trends. Nowadays, what we covet changed from wanting quality, to wanting a label as a shortcut to looking rich. It seriously makes no sense. Plus, most of the big designer houses now use the same mass manufacturing methods as "regular" bags, and fall apart at the same rate.... thus making it not worth the money. But people still buy, because they want that label. (This doesn't apply to places that make real handcrafted quality stuff, btw.) The best thing to do is buy something in your budget that ISN'T a knockoff. Something that looks great and will hold up, so money goes to smaller people who are working hard to be creative and unique. If you can afford to spend thousands, really find something unusual and handmade, otherwise you'll just have another LV bag that everyone will assume is fake.

I hate the "if you buy fakes you support Slave labor" Argument, look at the labels in mainstream clothing stores like H&M, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Zara etc. what does it say? my grandmother passed down her 20 year old keepall 55 to me as a graduation present, and i still use everyday. if it's able to keep it's form and not show any signs of aging (other then the patina of the leather trimming) i'd say your paying for the name and quality.

dsalgado740 I do believe that the bag that was passed down to you is still in good quality 20 yrs later, however I agree with XUrbanSimsX, in reference to the quality of today's bags. While you should be paying for the name a quality, Louis Vuitton as of the past 5 or so years has been getting complaints of their bags having issues with the hardware tarnishing, poor stitching etc. it's all about making a profit and at least once a yr all their items have a price increase. I think they are skimping in quality vs yrs ago in order to keep more of profit.

i am a college student and use my bag for everything from clothes to school books.

I think it is interesting to look at the story of these bags before they hit the streets in NYC and see if that's a story you want to support. Same goes for the real designer goods. Just being conscious of where our products come from is already a step in the right direction. A lot happens before they make it into our hands.

This was my first job/hustle in USA back in 2006.They had huge warehouse in spring street.You wouldn't beleive the type of customers they had.All these celebrity looking white girls spending over $1000

Why does the lady with the Michael Kors purse thinks she is somehow exempt from the discussion because she is wearing a "real" brand? All Michaels Kors has done himself is to knock off high end designers. His Savannah bag is a knockoff of the Chanel GST, the satchels, especially the checkered one, is a knockoff of the Louis Vuitton Speedy and the bag with the padlock is a knockoff of the Hermes Birkin, yet somehow she thinks she is so above the fray.

I don't buy fake bags, I would buy an original coach before I buy a fake LV, luxury brands are expensive, so what's the use of buying a fake and fool some people thinking is original when in reality you know is fake. I know personally would not feel the same wearing a real bag vs a fake, but that's me, to each its own.

One Thing I know China Town Knock-Offs are *THE BEST* they are stickler for detail. I never cared if a bag was fake as long as it looks good and is sturdy. *Sofas, footwear, leather coats/jackets/pants/skirts* any brand or off brand must be *Animal Hide Leather ONLY* not synthesized plastic crap. Also, *fabrics* that come in contact with My skin must be *100% cotton, 100% silk (from the moth),* NO plastic polyester micro fiber, I don't care how great it feels. *Jewelry* must be 14K+ Gold Silver Platinum, Precious/semi-precious. *Home Appliances* must be brands that been around like Whirlpool, Kenmore, Amana, etc. *Electronics -* Sony, Yamaha, Pioneer, etc. *Pro-Electronics -* Tascam, Sony, Akai, NuMark, Nady, Roland, Etc. *Food -* organic non-GMO non-genetically damaged *I'm VERY Picky about.*

Who cares if people have fake products. Why is it any of your business or why should you care in general what other people choose to spend on what they want to wear? If someone chooses to spend $300 on a real designer product, why do you care? If someone chooses to spend $30 on a fake designer product, why do you care? Here's the difference between people who spend money on real designer products verses people who buy fakes. People who buy real designer products judge others based on appearance. People who buy fake designer products just don't care whether or not someone else can afford real or fakes. By the way all those people in this video saying they have REAL designer products at home seem so fake and are probably lying lol

It depends on what country you live in or visit.

I actually use to purchase knock offs all the time. However I now buy authentic more for quality but always on sale of course and not more than $150

lol they even had a knock off AKON in the begining =)

I wouldn't buy a fake, but I also wouldn't spend thousands of dollars on one bag. I'd rather have one real and good quality bag than ten fakes.

I don't think it's a great thing, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I buy fake jewelry on Canal St and that's okay with me. To me it's about how it looks, not about how much i spent it. Taking designs from designers who work hard on bags and such is sus and something i don't fully support, but like i said, you gotta do what you gotta do in a society that places so much value on material possessions (most of the time not even on the actual quality but the perceived quality based on price and brand name)

Many times brands get dividends off of counterfeit producers. I respect anyone trying to make a buck, and also don't think these fashion brands are trying to "rob people." It comes down to personal choice, you buy what you like, according to what you can afford and the value behind these products to you.

YYYOOOO!!! HA HA ! ! ! I LOVE WHAT THE SISTA SAID ABOUT ...." IF YOU WANT IT" okay .......then "SAVE TO GET IT" !!!! That's what i feel in life too, if that is what you want!!! THEN DO IT,you're only gonna be alive a finite amount of time ,now i can see and agree with some of the comments below stating that if you live in the ghetto and or don't have a car/house, a lot of bills ...all this stuff.....i understand...but i would say DON'T SPEND ALL on these things, if there's something you want, see first if you can truly afford it and don't go overboard...get it and keep doing the rest: paying bills, save for retirement, buy stocks or whatever you need to do to get your life in financial order.

Dont louis voutton burn the bags they don't sell????? If they do they should auction off ther bags and given the money to charity?. I have a real lv bag and a fake one to be honest they look the same quality. I saved 3 years to get the real and its the same as the fake. I love my bags but I will not be spending so much money on another again. If the people that make the bags wear slave labour then I would never buy a fake one.

I have several authentic LV bags and two knockoffs. LV does not stand behind their products. They only give you a one year manufacture's defect warranty. When you take it to the store for an issue they deny you, when you call LV customer service they deny you. I now have a $1600 bag sitting in my closet that I don't even use because LV refused to send it in & it had only been about 4 months old. The two knockoffs that I have that I paid maybe $200 each for had stood the test of time. Purchased one in 2005/2006 and another in 2009 and no problems what so ever. I'll never purchase a real LV again because they don't stand behind their product. Everyone that's on here blasting knock offs should shut up especially if they've never purchased a real LV & had to take it in and be denied while still under warranty. Keep your good money. Always get a fake. That why if it fail you won't feel used as bad.

cazy wade If Chanel and LV gave their old stock/last season bags to charity or sell at extreme discounts, it would ruin their luxury status as poor people would be wearing them. It's a brand image, they are selling emotions and certain rich people don't associate with the poor or middle class. Marketing is truly a psychological warfare. 200 euro or $228 bottle of perfume only cost $3 worth of chemicals, the bottle is $5. Chanel n. 5 is the perfect example of brand, history and luxury perception. In luxury watches, you can pay over $20,000 for a watch such as Patek, it's mostly the history you are paying for even if the watch is a new design, made with modern machinery. They are selling emotions and rich people can be very stupid, after all, they are detached from the real world after years of wealth.

agree they are same specially the canvas. Specially neverfull , fake one quality is same. Vernis and empreinte is more hard to copy, but about canvas i dont see difference between my real and fake one.

I won't wear fake. Simple as that. I save and buy the real thing.

u are smartest person. Use them both and see the difference. Dont tell i will never spend 1000€ on purse until u not own one, and dont tell i will never buy fake until u not own and see the comparison. U can definitely make ur opinion when u own both :)

I have an aunt, she has a house and drives a Mercedes, she carries fake LV other people think her purse is real. If you don't have a house and a decent car, even you are carrying a $3000 purse, people still think your purse is fake.

I would not buy replica handbags because it's illegal and the more money that is spent on illegal bags, the more money people will have to pay for the real deal next year. Not to mention, you can buy an authentic high quality designer bag used on ebay for the same price you can buy a fake "high quality" designer bag in some illegal warehouse

edemar deocampo well i got both pairs of nike shoes went bad after over a year only..for comparison once i bought a shoes for like 7 $ in supermarket and they lasted for 7 years....so its not so obvious i expected a quality but it wasnt good at all...

Based on my own experience the last time I went to LV I bought an USD 850 zippy wallet, it turned out to be a disaster on quality. So that was my last piece of my real LV collection. Now I buy high quality knock offs.

Why doesn't Louis Vuitton come up with a cheaper line that way more people can afford it and the knock off industry won't be as big. I honestly think buying a good quality 80 dollars Louis purse isn't bad. I heard that even Vogue magazine couldn't tell the difference between the real and fake.

If it's fake it's fake ... I have a lot of luxury items in my house and not one is fake. Bought my mom a brand new Prada handbag if I was to to show up with a fake Prada well let's just say it not gonna be pretty 😂. Fake is fake , I would never buy fake. If you don't have the money to buy it then work for it...

LV isn't even leather, it's canvas. I can not comprehend how/why someone would pay $2-3K for a CANVAS bag!! Also if you have to "save up" to buy one of these bags.....you can't afford it Boo Boo.

Bict Cuoent I have a 29 year old Louis Vuitton speedy and it’s still beautiful so if that’s not quality made to last - then what is. Some bags are rubbish but I never seen a crap Louis Vuitton. I’m not familiar with Gucci so meh.

Everyone keeps talking about how corporations are ripping people off. No they are not, they have to pay a tariff tax for selling here in the country. That is why their prices are so high. Go to Europe and they would probably be a lot more affordable. Moral of my post is that people need to live within their means! I would love a Louis luggage bag, but that would mean i would work for a week for nothing. It would be stupid for me to make that purchase. And those hood people with louis bags look stupid because no one thinks that its a smart buy, whether its real or fake for obvious reasons.

There must be something wrong with the way I was brought up, because I refuse to pay more then $50 for any bag. I don't care who made it, as long as I think it looks nice and it lives up to my expectations, it's fantastic!

I've purchased both purses with equal equality & performance. of course the real one has more prestige. but unless someone is really into that particular brand they do not notice a fake.

I was going to buy a LV bag and then I went to BBB to see their rating and it's an F. I was actually convincing myself to get one because of the warranty and as it turns out they don't even take care of their customers. So why pay thousands and thousands of dollars for their products if at the end you're going to get the same treatment as if you would of purchased a fake from the street corner lol

Where I live people can’t afford name brand products. Most people here work their asses off to make $35,000 a year. There’s a huge market for knock offs here and some people have real cheap quality stuff and some people have really good stuff for sell.
