I forget does Magic Brian come in during the first Arc because he’s hilarious. Also I would imagine that if it sells well they would make a book for the other arc’s too. seems like a good business model

Taako continuing to eat scones while the prophecy was going made me crack up! This whole thing is fantastic!!

I really like the awkward silence after the unexpected prophecy. Without Griffin, it's as if Taako just acknowledged that, yep, that sure was a thing that happened. Love that.

I loved Taako's finger waves when he asked for the small prophecy. Great Job!

Well that's just about the cutest Magnus I have ever seen.

a little story - i was listening to this episode late at night while home alone and i zoned out for a second and then all of the sudden my earbuds blared "TURN RIGHT. Turn right. turn right." at a VERY LOUD volume and that put me on edge lol

I really like how you add small natural movements in the gaps in the dialogue, it makes the animation something like your own, instead of just kinda coping the original story. Any I love your designs too! Just everything lol

This is soooo neat, I'm glad someone animated this scene! I love Taako just munching down as that prophecy is being played out, very in-character. And I think it's cool that you edited out all the narration and just showed it, it made it seem more like a real scene!

This is incredible. It's awesome to see an animation that just shows what Griffin is describing without his audio. Keep it up!

+Camryn Gallagher it was when it felt like the only options were a) close off the world from all other planes and b) ditch this world for the hunger and try again next time. Taakos choice was to cut the Hunger off from the planes of existence.

This is so well-done! I like that both Magnus and Taako have black painted nails. That's a fun physical character choice.

Your style is so fun and expressive. When Taako was nomming scones during the prophecy I just burst out laughing.

Taako is definitely my favorite character. There are other characters with very great and funny lines, but taako always takes the cake.

I saw this animatic before listening to TAZ and had no idea what was going on but animatics like yours made me interested, and now that I'm watching with context; you put so much work into this! It's lovely, the way you do body language and character design is 10/10

Okay, first SPOILERS FOR THE END OF THE ADVENTURE ZONE. Just in case someone's scrolling through the comments. So I'm like 90% sure that what she means is the two plans to destroy the hunger. I think it was Barry and Lup who wanted to conceal the light of creation and Lucretia wanted to use her shield. In the end, the light of creation didn't work, so Davenport was saying they needed to leave and try again, but Lucretia still wanted to use her shield. It seemed like there was two choices: cut off all the world's bonds, but save it - or leave. However, there was a third option: put the shield around the hunger. And that's what they realized.

that Big Prophecy distortion was great. i realized it's because you lowered Griffin's Paloma voice but it still sounds amazing, love it

I really wanna play casual loose-rules DnD now...but I don't trust any other Game Masters out there to make the adventure as fun, hilarious, immersive, engaging, and surprisingly dramatic & endearing/heartwarming as Griffin McElroy. Nor do I trust anyone that I could possibly get as fellow party members to be as hilariously spontaneous and fantastically adaptable and improvisational when it comes to handling the scenarios being thrown at us as Clint, Jason, and Travis McElroy are. I mean this is a family DnD Adventure with the party being the Father, the oldest child, and the middle child, with the youngest child as GM, and at the same time ALL FOUR OF THEM are incredibly talented comedians in their own right and their own respective style. And they're about as close-knit as an immediate family can POSSIBLY be and have spent the last 39 to 32 years together and a decent amount of their lives have been spent in radio/podcasting and various forms of writing - from journalism to writing video games to even writing COMIC BOOKS (and not just that TAZ comic, apparently Clint wrote for NOW Comics back in the 90s)! I mean, it's literally a perfect storm. Theres no way any group who doesnt meet THAT incredibly specific criteria can have a game on TAZ's level. But then...I guess every game should be unique and every group of people unique and able to come up with unique ideas so I guess there's hope. But even so, I only have one close friend whom I'd trust as GM because he's an actual writer who has written a few good plays and whom I've collaborated on with creative endeavors since like 8th or 9th grade (that'd be anywhere from 2007-2009). But idk if he'd have the time or interest in such a thing. And he HAS to be GM. I might be able to do it, but my writing has always been rooted in gonzo journalism. I really haven't honed my nonfiction abilities to that level yet. Best I think I could do is co-GM because I am really good at brainstorming and building off of almost anything that someone else throws out there. As long as they give me something to work with and a foundation to build on. And then for a party its even worse because outside him, few people I know would into that stuff and I feel that fewer still have the creativity to keep up with us. Plus my main creative partner lives in LA, while im 50 miles Inland and my other friends are starting to really get spread out, with one being as far as San Jose up in the NorCal Bay Area. So that leaves the only other option being to use the internet to get into a group of players already...but I'm terrible at breaking the ice and I'd really rather play with a group I'm know irl and who are all close enough to know each other well enough to roll with it. Alas, I must lament that I may never know the joy of playing a tabletop RPG game of this caliber in my lifetime. 🥺
