It’s not, but I’ve realized as I’ve experience more media that Star Wars was never really all that great. It’s derivative but also lacks the fleshed out world building of more intelligent sci fi such as Dune or fantasy like LOTR. There are a LOT of glaring plot holes in Star Wars and it ruins the films for a thinking man

As a Star Wars yt channel, I completely agree. It's the lowest it's ever been thus far but I'm sure they'll find a way.

Episodes 3 and 4, not episodes 1 and 2. Episodes 1 and 2, one of the sisters is committing mass murder (while blaming others for what she did). Sith existing does not mess it up, but, the Jedi knowing about it, messes it up (especially one of the characters, who specifically said that they did not exist; and by someone who was not even alive, then).

agreed, the whole point of objective criticism is to take information, watch and analyze for yourself and come to honest conclusions. if you are getting PAID as a reporter/journalist to cover this is in a segment, then you should be able to do the necessary research yourself. Just a simple watching of 4 episodes so far; and an hour of research on the internet on Star Wars will give you the same conclusion; but with the backing of you as a journalist showing that you are doing the research that the showrunners aren't doing. you can't criticize the showrunners for not doing the research if you yourself aren't willing to do the small amount of research for this segment.

Blaming the fans is a lazy excuse to mask the shortcomings of this show. Additionally, the premature demise of the only compelling Jedi characters we were interested in, before Episode 5, is disappointing. Furthermore, the controversial decision by Wookieepedia to retcon Ki-Adi-Mundi's birth date to align with this lackluster show is yet another sore point."

They inherited a huge catalogue of fantastic stories and series (hundreds upon hundreds of books) that could have been copied and pasted to TV. Even if they'd gender/race swapped it it still would have printed money. Instead they ignore the books completely and try to write lesbian witch fan fiction.. written by someone who isn't a fan. Same shit Netflix did with The Witcher. It's anti-capitalism.

Think about the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer which a lot people liked show cases two hairy men fighting and wrestling on the ground. Wolverine then stabs Deadpool in "Nuts" with his Adamantium claws. How is this not so totally "gay" and people loved it. LOL😁

What makes no sense is Rian Johnson went out and made a movie not really thinking about making a Star Wars movie but a movie, and as a consequence The Last Jedi divided the fandom. So they thought, “hey let’s do that again with a whole team of writers because they best thing to do while adding to a franchise that’s linked to the other stories is to have writers with no experience with the franchise”!! For those who saw the first three movies in the theaters , they are 1,2, and 3 no matter how they are counted later. The later ones are considered prequel 1,2, and 3.

Disney's SW is just a bad fan fiction. My kids will only watch the first 6 movies and the original 2003 cartoon, the stuff that George actually made himself.

I saw Star Wars for the first time in the movies when I was twelve years old. I thought it was fantastic. The next two movies were even better! After that, I ceased to care! I am so thankful to be an adult with a penchant for older movies. Yes it is gender ideology, but it also makes sense in a sci-fi type universe. We use the term they to refer to common gendered nouns. In a universe with alien species in which we might not know the gender roles (or they might not even have any) using the common gender pronoun would be the thing that we would do, especially if translating from other languages that may or may not have gendered pronouns. The arguing against it is really stupid because it is in these shows that it makes logical sense to exist. Not things like historical fiction.

I agree with a lot except the "sith haven't existed for a millennia" the jedi council BELIEVED that, but were wrong. As evidenced by Palpatine existing. Darth Plagueis or his mentor could have been alive during the acolyte. So while sith existing doesn't go against Canon, they way the acolyte implements sith, may go against Canon. Idk because I'm certainly not going to watch it.

I think Phantom Menace was still under Lucas Arts and in it Annakin (later Darth Vader) was conceived via immaculate conception. Since they start out "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away." This would mean Annakin supposedly preceded Christ. I've played some video game series with a lot of Christology involved in it's story, but it's a really sensitive topic for me and must be treated with great care.

Midnight's Edge is great too, and has the political angle covered (ESG, DEI, etc). Valiant Renegade and Mike "Mexican Iron Man" Canul have the numbers and financial angle covered, in terms of box office receipts, views, stock price and internal accounting. O'Keefe is right there uncovering their hiring shenanigans, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of our favorite LawTubers were close behind. As Andrew Klavan likes to point out, culture matters. The _real_ story is how much Wokeness is being rejected by our society at a gut level. The Woke know that they will have to break us in this fandom or lose the war. If we can stand up to them, all humanity may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. It's a great place to be a happy warrior. =)

I'm surprised you don't give the pre Disney Star Wars some time Michael, it's a very biblical story. A chosen one born from a virgin. The removal of Anakins limbs and his burning in fire mirrors the fall of Lucifer, when his wings were removed. The dark side is powered through Sin and vice. Luke is continually tempted by the Emperor to kill his father, mirroring the 40 days in the desert. And of course, through the grace of Luke, Vader represents the redeemed sinner, transcending into the force (heaven). Just a thought! I'd think you'd like it more for those reasons 😂

One could possibly excuse the whole Sith thing by remembering that they were more or less hiding. One cannot excuse the age continuity if his age was previously established. It is well known that there are some species, such as that of whatever Yoda is, that can live an extremely long time seeing as Yoda is 900 in Return of the Jedi. Whether Mundi is one of those, I know not, but even if he is, there is still the problem of whenever the previously established lore said he was born. And no, I'm not wasting my time with this show either. I've seen barely any of Disney Star Wars.

At this point I’m only interested in re-watching the OG trilogy and Rogue One. That’s it. None of the rest of it is interesting enough for me to want to spend my time on it. To be fair, the statement that there hasn't been a sith for a millennia was already contradicted by the books before Disney bought Star Wars. In the books, we learn about Palpatines' mentor and a long line of seceret Dark Side users tracing back many centuries. Leaning into the idea that they existed but kept out of sight from the Jedi until Maul. Another fun bit is that throughout the ENTIRE show, where we have MULTIPLE scenes of younglings being trained and such, (learning combat, mediatiing, and becoming the most powerful people in the galaxy) ITS LIKE 90% GIRLS. And when there is a boy he is eather black or asain. BLATANT CASTING RACISM AND SEXISM
