    Thanks so much...that's very kind of you to say. I've enjoyed Star Wars since I was a kid and now my son is a big fan as well. So we enjoy watching the show together each week. Is it a perfect show? No, I have issues with it here and there (the umbramonths flying away with Qimir was abit on the goofy side for my taste). But overall I'm really enjoying the multi-layered mystery and it's fun to try to guess where it's going from here. Really appreciate you watching the vid and sharing your positive feedback. Yeah, I had kinda been accepting that Qimir was our masked guy, and that it may have been intentionally telegraphed in Ep 4, since the mystery now moves to who is Qimir's master. And it was indeed a bummer to see Jecki go down, but she went down fighting. Dang she kicked butt!

    Felt a little unrealistic that she was so hard to defeat when we see her still practicing flurries with a bo stick while her opponent relatively easily took out Jedi that I think probably had more training and experience than she did and those Jedi were attacking him roughly simultaneously. A lot of times it was just Jekki vs ZipperMouth one on one.

    @@willfilmon182 I agree...on the surface it seemed abit hard to believe Jecki could hold her own when the other Jedi went down so quickly. But ofc the padawan level Obi-Wan Kenobi defeated Darth Maul by himself when the combo of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan (as well as the solo fight with just Qui-Gon and Maul) was unable to defeat Maul. So I wonder if the original Jedi were so thrown off by the brutality of the Sith that they just weren't prepared while Jecki had watched it all go down and was more mentally prepared to put up a stronger fight? But yeah, I agree that it was strange that Jecki did so well in the fight.

    I think Mae flipped because after threatening to reveal what she knows about her Master, Qimir kills Kennaca then reveals himself. That takes away her bargining chip, sets her up for the murder and sets up his killing spree to protect himself. Mae realises this then tries to adjust to the new situation he created.

    Yea ppl are talking about "she keeps changing her mind" but the situation keeps changing around her. The choices she makes all come after finding out new crucial information. Her sister is alive, then the Jedi she plans to turn herself into is dead She still tries to escape w her sister butis then rejected by sister. So she assumes sister's identity and leaves with sol. It's questionable whether or not she still intends to kill hum. But I'm guessing in episode 6 they will confront one another and we will get another flashback perhaps from each of their perspectives

    I think Yord's confusion about the moths is probably because he's shaken, as a Jedi in this period he's used to sorta strutting round being one of if not the most knowledgeable and powerful person in most rooms, that had just been stripped right away from him and one of the main threads of this show has been how arrogant and pompous the Jedi are in this period, so yeah after seeing the little bit of the fight that he saw, as well as him no doubt being able to sense the other Jedi dying the whole time he's rattled since he (as well as the other Jedi present) was not prepared to be caught on the back foot to that degree. I also get the feeling Qimir (not sure how to spell it) is more a Maul or a Dooku than a Sidious, I suspect his master is gonna be one of the mothers from the coven, just because there were references to him sharing some abilities with them, could be wrong but I definitely get that feeling.

He only started to lose when MODOK betrayed him by sabotaging his power and suit. And MODOK was built by him. He is Kang tech. Kang's arrogance and whatnot along with MODOK sabotaging him caught him off guard which aloud the super ants that are super smart with strength and other powers to charge at him. And all they did was break his already sabotaged suit. And even then he was kicking two Avengers asses. And they still had their powers. I have a hard time believing that Qimir's helmet actually does anything against mind tricks and such. Even without the helmet, Qimir is likely too strong-willed for Sol to get into his head. Kylo Ren can't do it to Rey, and she barely even knew what she was doing. It took Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace Windu just to get into Cad Bane's head, and it still didn't even really work, it just tortured him, and while he's a Duros, he's still not Force Sensitive either. On the Star Wars Explained aftershow for this episode, there was the suggestion that because it's not a direct face to face interaction, it would be harder to focus if you even attempted to do anything. Technically the Force allows you to choke people across space, but being in a holographic conversation with the visual will help, and even making the choking motion with your fingers will also assist in manifesting your desires, so say there is some kind of mind battle between Sol and Qimir, it will be easier if Sol has a face to look into. This is only a theory though. Qimir is likely just playing with everyone, taunting and even running away from a final blow just to chase someone else and keep them all off balance. There's also likely no real symbolism behind Jecki's death, but it's definitely a stab in each lung and then even one through the trachea, so if anything, it's a rather quick death because she likely can't breath. She's a Human-Thaleen hybrid, so whatever alien phisiology she has, it's still very likely vital organs were struck and she died quickly. If her death with three stabbings is indicitive of anything though, it's a commentary on how lightsaber stabbings don't hold as much weight as they once did. Placement is key, but Qimir using the Shoto Lightsaber and getting her not only in vital spots, but multiple times, too, was to really strike a blow to the audience that one of the main characters died, it wasn't just going to be the cannon fodder that was expected. And then with Yord, two were down, and he wasn't even killed with a weapon, just good old fashioned tactical blocks that lead to a position for a snapping of the neck. I think next week is likely to be the flashback although there's a lot of talk of how episodes 3 and 7 have the same director, which leads fans to think that 7 is the flashback, and I can't deny that. At the same time, Payton Reed directed the Ice Spider episode and then the Finale in Mandalorian Season 2, so you don't have to have very similar types of stories to be the director of two episodes. Whatever episode eit ends up being, the flashback will probably be called Choices or Decisions as that would be the opposite of Destiny, which is often used in Star Wars to mean as one's fate, and fate is predetermined. Osha was given a decision that altered her destiny, but it was through a series of others' choices and decisions. I suppose it's also possible the episode could be called Manipulation. Qimir clearly knows way too much, he could have orchestrated certain things to happen in secret that are then blamed on the Jedi, the Jedi react in a way that they are ashamed of, and the Coven dies; so many uncertainties. It's a heck of a time discussing the potential directions this show is going to head, and that's been my favorite part of the series over watching it. The show hasn't been bad, however it hasn't been as gripping as it could be. Episode 5 was incredible though, and it is likely in part because of that slower build up over the previous episodes, but even just seeing the character interactions here has been so much better, too, because it lead to so much more speculation.

  • @AbitofEverything4U

    Love the commentary on why Sol couldn't read Qimir's mind. You have some great theories that it wasn't the helmet, per se. Excellent points. And yeah, I am starting to think it could be episode 7 that is the flashback. If so, I like your title of "choices" really well. I also heard the suggestion of "freedom", since that's what the witches (and it seems Qimir) wants...freedom from the Jedi's rules.

  • @MCLegoboy

    @MCLegoboy

    Ай бұрын

    @@AbitofEverything4U It depends on if the episode is complete flashback, or if they have some stuff happening in the present. Part of why I also suggested Manipulation is that perhaps Qimir is maipulating events. Sol has manipulated Osha by concealing the full truth of what happened that day. Mae could have been possessed (ie. manipulated) into acting the way she did with that fire. Freedom feels like it could be a possible title for another episode, maybe even the Finale because everything will have finally been finished. If Qimir survives, he's likely killed everyone else and he's free to do as he pleases. If the Jedi stop him, they'll believe that Freedom has been secured for the Galaxy. Knowing the truth also sets Mae and Osha free from being manipulated. I'm usually never this active in speculation, but there's something about the Acolyte that's really getting to me. It's far from my favorite show, but it has really got me thinking about what could happen next since it's a mystery. I'm usually more just go with the flow and at worst rationalize what I just saw than try to piece together what future installments will be.

    @@M3333 Agreed...there have definitely been moments where I was very surprised by someone's actions (especially Mae), but I do think upon reflection that her decision not to let the Jedi arrest her this episode was due to her seeing Kelnacca killed. It means she would be blamed for yet another murder and also that if the Sith Master was powerful enough to kill Kelnacca, then he was likely going to kill her next. She realized he was unstoppable enough that she felt her best bet was to apologize and beg his mercy. So when Jecki went to arrest her, the last thing Mae wanted was to be restrained as she wouldn't be able to fight back against the Master if needed. But...I totally agree, that at first viewing I was like "what on earth is going on with Mae!"
