    8:30 "If you want to make it to the ship before sundown?!" It's like 50 yards offshore! loved the episode, big hype squad!~ Anyone ever noticed that all known Sith are adults? There are no Sith taking baby Siths to train? What if the power of two means the force: the dark side and the light. I spotted lore-breaking handrails in this episode. I assume this was done as a deliberate insult to George Lucas and a way of spitting in the face of the fans. Now we riot. Calm down, that was sarcasm. Regarding the lack of a PIN or biometric on droids, Star Wars is notoriously bad when it comes to computer security. There is no password protection or user accounts on any console, no network segmentation preventing mechanic droids in the loading dock affecting systems on the upper decks, and critical access points left out in the open unattended. If the Empire implemented some basic encryption with the Death Star plans they would still be exploding wayward planets to this day. This isn't me complaining at all, it's one of my favorite people details in the series. yall said elephant mouse, I said little ballsack creature They should have dropped these episodes with 2 per week. Now Playing Ashley Judd, ‘Finding Nemo on Ice’ | Full Episode A lightsaber whip could make scars like we see on his back. A thought about Yoda knowing "The Rule of Two". The Sith Temple that Ezra, Kanan, and Ahsoka find seems to operate on something like a Rule of Two. Or at the very least A Master and An Apprentice. Much like the Jedi Temple on Lothal needing to be opened by a Master and Apprentice. So maybe the old Sith operated as Master and Apprentice a lot and therefore if there is one, there should be a second one. Any more than that leads to conflicts like the one that ended the Sith a millennia before Yoda and Mace discuss the Sith. This is not criticism just a general question. When making a story like Jurassic Park( the novel) Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, before the pen really hits the pages, one of the first things you have to ask yourself is “Why does this story need to be told”. So I ask, why does this particular story need to be told in the Star Wars universe? We have some comic lore on Cal Kesttis's dark side dressing up like an evil Jedi Survivor's new boss new series new game plus Sideous, so there are tales and stories to dig deeper into for characters before Phantom Menace. But why do these main characters have a story (most of these characters are brand new with no mention anywhere else in the Star Wars universe)? What’s the goal of telling this real truth Am I the only one who started reciting the Jedi Code when they showed Sol struggling? There is no emotion, there is only peace. C’mon Sol, it’s the Jedi way. Could that helmet not be inhabited by a very very old Sith Lord that can possess and influence others? Haven't seen too many people talk about how he could also be the apprentice that Darth Tenebrous threw away as well. I immediately thought force lighting, especially since he didn't directly answer whether the master that did it to him was a Jedi. Tenebrous failed the apprentice who left and became the first Ren. Edit Oh and in legends, there is a rocky ocean planet that has Cortosis, or exactly the one in this episode that Tenebrous and Plagues found. Too crazy of a coincidence if you ask me lol. The planet is called Bal'demnic "How did you get that scar", "Well, I turned to the dark side, and my master and I dueled and I killed him, but got this scar" How popular travel destinations are fighting ‘over-tourism’ TODAY Will we see Darth Revan in Canon? What makes Qimir a cool villain/quasi-villain is how deliberate his words and beliefs are He's obviously another Palpatine, only the promises he preaches to Osha have whole truths, not just half-truths What he says actually makes sense He describes the dark side as not a last resort like Anakin saw it; the dark side is just a better tool, the RIGHT tool, to hone your Force abilities; he doesn't necessarily say it's easier, like how Yoda says it is Every time I hear new philosophies about the galaxy's energy field, like the Thread, I'm so into it

    This is true. But of course, he is the master of the deception. He knows which strings to pull to make Osha join him willingly, which always works better than fear, like with Mae. He gives her an illusion of freedom and choice. I bet that if she would try to reach the ship, he would stop her ASAP or would jingle the keys to the ship (metaphorically) in front of his face. Which makes him a great character and Manny did a wonderful job portraying him.

    I think that is such a fun idea by the show, illustrating so clearly with the truth screaming them in the face the lack of imagination that ultimately dooms them. It has always been to be a fallen Jedi, and someone they would be aware of, nothing else makes sense to them. Most of them at least. We also see it with Sol. "You have a Jedi weapon, but you are no Jedi.", his mind doesn't go to the Sith, it goes to confusion.

  • @jollyrayda

    @jollyrayda

    12 күн бұрын

    @@vintersaga2177 Sadly, that "you are no Jedi" felt likely the writers were trying to link back to Ahsoka's iconic line. There is a pattern of repeated lines throughout Star Wars ("I have a bad feeling about this..."), but if they don't flow naturally and feel forced (and this is specifically about the writers - actors do the best they can do with what's been written) they cause more harm than good to the story. Remember, Sol has met the witches as well, so he knows there are different schools of connecting to the Force - if the SIth are supposedly gone for centuries that's unlikely where his mind went, so I don't think he was _confused_ about the guy not being a Jedi, just doesn't know what he actually is at this point.

    @@jollyrayda that's a good point. I do still find the line "You are no Jedi" to be indicative of the general mindset of the Jedi of the time. A bit of an "us and everyone else" indicator. I guess it could just be some subconscious baggage of mine, but the whole line of "You wield a Jedi weapon, but you are no Jedi" makes me think of the arrogance and unimaginative nature of the Jedi during peak Republic era, and it could just be me wanting the writers to explore that concept and the flaws of the Jedi more closely. It makes sense that he wouldn't know what a Sith is, I doubt most Jedi would know that, it's surely not something most Jedi would teach with fear of the attraction to the dark side for the students. Good points!

I could see them setting up a 'wham' moment where Sol kneels, and the Sith Master (whether that's Qimir or someone else) ends the series with the line "Arise, Darth Plagueis." My favorite thing is that Qimir has been wearing black since the beginning of the show, but in this episode he takes a bath and then changes into WHITE. It is a symbolic of Qimir's motivation. He wants "freedom". He is Calm and the way he talks is very relaxed here. It feels like a whole different person. That is what he wants in his life and that is what symbolized by his change into a "white outfit". But if anyone interferes with his freedom and gets him in trouble, he has to switch to a completely different personality to confront them. That is what his "black otfit" symbolises. I love that detail ❤

Also he realized Osha is more powerful with the darkside than Mae. And somehow he knew about her attachment issues and her hate towards her sister,Mae. There is no password protection or user accounts on any console, no network segmentation preventing mechanic droids in the loading dock affecting systems on the upper decks, critical access points left out in the open unattended. If the Empire implemented some basic encryption with the Death Star plans they would still be exploding wayward planets to this day. Venamis was very strong in the force, was very skilled with a lightsaber to the point that Plagueis resorted to his use of the force to defeat him, and was able to levitate. Sound familiar? Qimir throughout the series has also quoted pieces of the sith code which a fallen Jedi wouldn't know unless it was taught and I doubt that the jedi teach the sith code. Overall my belief is that he is a former jedi and now sith apprentice who is seeking a pupil of his own likely to eventually try to overthrow his own master.

Or at the very least A Master and An Apprentice. Much like the Jedi Temple on Lothal needing to be opened by a Master and Apprentice. So maybe the old Sith operated as Master and Apprentice a lot and therefore if there is one, there should be a second one. Any more than that leads to conflicts like the that ended the Sith a millennia before Yoda and Mace discuss the Sith.

    The whole time difference in the beginning through me off too but I had to go back and watch the 4th episode and it makes sense. Where ever Qimir and Mae landed was closer to the Forest than the Jedi landed. Remember, when the Jedi landed, they had to travel over hills and paths before getting to the Forest. So Qimir getting Osha back to his base before Sol and Mae could ever leave makes sense in that aspect.

    19:45 This is where my head is at. After the reveal in e5, I've spent a week thinking back to e2. A line that seemed pure comedic effect at the time. Just after Qimir told Osha "you look just like her" and the Jedi come running in - he looks at Sol and says something like "don't erase my memory, or whatever Jedi do" - seemed goofy at the time, but now 🤔

    I like how Eric, Calvin, and Aaron are all so animated when seeing things on screen, and Ricks just there like the rest of us at home; only laughing if its actually funny and not thinking what we would look like on camera. Love you RIck!

    When you said we got nothing new with Osha, this was one of my favorite Osha episodes. She literally drew a lightsaber against Qimir and put on his helmet. We haven't seen anything like that out of her yet. Star Wars is not about giving answers, it's about subtle nuances. We heard about the clone wars back in 1977, the show and movie came out in 2002 and 2005.

    This was the first episode, for me, that had a truly great ending. All the others have felt strangely edited or abrupt, or like they ended in the wrong place, but this one absolutely nailed it. I'm enjoying this show so much! One of the highlights of my week!

    One thing I haven’t seen people talking about is that we assume the 4th Jedi she is going to kill is Sol. She has never said. She only said she had to kill 2 Jedi after the first 2 and Qimir confirmed revenge on 4 Jedi. I think they have lead us to believe that because Sol was there with them but I really think Venestra was on Brendok as well and she’s the 4th Jedi.

    It sort of is, he just isn't at the front of it. But every part is moving because of him, and the way he speaks to Osha shows the grip he had on Mae and how much of it was actually him. Even when he was just Qimir, he steered Mae and kept her moving.
