I mean Dio exist in every part of jjba making it His show essentially Part 1 : introduction Part 2 : origin of his vampire power Part 3 : who doesn't know? Part 4 : in short D.I.U. hmmm?? Part 5 : his son but with Jonathan dong Part 6 : his boyfriend Part 7 : he wins Part 8 : idk i am not quite on this part

For people who dismiss DIO- remember that he had spent the majority of the fight as a head struggling to control the body of a person whose energy naturally opposed to a vampire- limiting his abilities as a vampire and forced to use an arsenal of unusual weaponry like knives and a stop sign in conjunction with his time stop. And in spite of that, he forced Jotaro to use trickery and bluffs to even not get one-shotted before he grasped his own powers over time stop. And DIO only lost because he was the midst of a power high and Jotaro had to finish him off before he could calm down, increase his time stop, and likely regain his vampire powers- making him physically unstoppable except for Stands that work on metaphysical levels of power.

if he can 1 shot people why didn't he destroyed Jotaro's body with that sequence of punches and kicks considering he was in his super form and broke Star Platinum's guard? But when Star Platinum did the same to DIO, whose body is far more durable than a human body, DIO was totally destroyed. Jotaro's plot armor is so ridiculous it's laughable

Many underestimates DIO because of his fight with Jotaro but if you think about it. The only ones who can fight him is either have also time manipulation(or only time stop) or reality prowess stands. Without any of it, there is no way you can defeat him. But due to his cocky and playful behaviour, it leads to his downfall. DIO literally is one of the strongest in the series.

@@lennard8066Dio takes a second or two to stop time, while light travels too fast for him. Plus, you could use the UV flashlight while punching him (while holding the flashlight at an angle where he cannot see it).

@@ImaginaryJ-km7cr maybe. The bullets still spin in stopped time because their spin is infinite, but diego was able to move out of the way. Imo ta4 is the strongest offensive stand there is, but being able to stop time and do whatever you want is so stupidly fucking op. If TS was ever used to its full potential then thered be a case for it to be the strongest ability in the franchise under certain battle conditions (time stopping before others abilities can be activated, i.e funny valentine before he activates love train, Giorno before using the arrow, maybe can kill WOU without problems in TS

I'd also like to point out that in Eyes of Heaven, Diavolo has a mild panic attack if you stop time around him. "Y-you can control time, too?!" Because, yeah, you can't skip over 10-ish seconds that aren't moving and you certainly can't forecast 10-ish seconds that were compressed into a blink of an eye.

Remember that King Crimson can completely cut a part of a timeline, which would render the worlds time stopping ability useless dio uses right after the time erasure ends

Not really tho Star Platinum can stop bullets by just catching them in the air, and in 6 part it was stated that Star Platinum and The World both can move faster than light, so I highly doubt that eye lazers is faster than the knives thrown by The World

Dio being one of my favorite jojo characters, makes me upset that he could’ve been better but he played around with his food and could’ve ended everyone easily. Even jotaro before he knew he could move in stopped time

My favorite stand is king crimson, I think is a little underrated, but at the same time not. It has pros and cons. Two good ability : time erase/skip and epitaph. These ability hasn't long durability (10 seconds) but still useful if used well.

Honestly, I think King Crimson is the most powerful stand(Top 5 At least). It's so busted the only stand(GER) that beat it was basically an "Ascended" stand which was basically a deus ex machina. The best part of King Crimson is that its practical stand insofar as that you can actually use it in the real world. Seeing into the future and wiping away an event that you dont like is pretty useful all around.

King Crimson is undoubtedly up there though like every other main antagonist stand.

When u think about it if dio won against jotaro he could’ve change his body from Jonathan to jotaro so he doesn’t have to deal with the hamon problem, therefore he is able to use all his abilities. That would also mean he can use his freeze technique or space ripper stingy eyes in time stop

Here is something about the concept of stopping time during a fight: if the other one can't counter it (aka also be able to stop time or accelerate the stopped period of time) they are in most cases done for. If DIO really wants to kill his enemy and not toy with them (look at the fight with Kakyoin) he will instantly end them. If the enemy stand is durable he will just go for the user who isn't. If he didn't toy with Jotaro at the start of their fight he would have probably won and became the strongest being in all JoJo media: Heaven Ascension DIO with THE WORLD Over Heaven who could not be beat except through plot.

This is gonna be wild, The world is an amazing stand and so is Dio as a character

Za warudo was the first "main stand" introduced and it's still the strongest even going to part 8. No main villain can go head to head against Dio and win, since no stands can work in time stop except for jotaro and Johnny. Maybe king crimson can? Maybe wonder of u can? But even then dio can just walk over to the user and doughnut them easily

I believe King Crimson has the ability to defeat any time-stopping stand if used correctly. Here is what I think would happen: Step 1: Epitaph shows a premonition of some disastrous thing happening to Diavolo instantly-it could be knives appearing, Dio showing up with his fist in your stomach, or anything at all Step 2: King Crimson erases the time from shortly before these events occur to right after they occur, as stopped time lasts for **0 seconds** Diavolo has caused the following narrative for an observer: Diavolo uses his Epitaph - Dio is standing in front of Diavolo wondering why he’s there while Diavolo immediately puts his stand’s fist into Dio’s head

The world is one of my favorite stands, second only to King Crimson, I've seen people say Star platinum and the like are building level but I guess they were wrong? I also remember seeing something from a writing standpoint that Araki made Dio confident in The World like how in part 1 Dio was confident in his vampire powers, so Dio in part 3 might've had the other abilities but to a far lesser extent but I could be wrong. I'd love to see a video on a composite Dio, full vampire abilities with The World

Dio was so strong they had to amp Jotaro.

It never showed the other vampires being transformed (except vanilla ice I reckon) but I wonder if the mask has something to do with Dio being so much more powerful. He already fills a similar role to Dracula as a final boss and maker of other vampires, so perhaps the powers dilute or weaken for those turned by his blood (as is often the case in stories with vampires). Jack the ripper wasn't Jack shit tbh, and VI was mostly a threat due to his stand. Tarukus and..... sunnovabitch I forgot his name... anyway they were badass as humans so the power boost was fittingly drastic.

Then he would've beat Jotaro. His regeneration would've been way better and he would've been alot more durable and stronger. Jonathan easily could have the strength of a average Stand and Dio overpowered him multiple times even after he absorbed Zepps energy. That's not even counting his Vampiric Abilities.

I think King Crimson could win tho. Epitaph forsees DIO teleporting and a bunch of knives appearing, and then he uses KC to dodge that before DIO enters time stop. DIO would still do his thing, but he wouldn’t be aware. King Crimson’s ten second skip doesn’t include Za Warudo because it’s technically zero seconds, so Diavolo has enough time to dodge before and after the stop, and even though he couldn’t move during it, he still wouldn’t have a „hitbox“ if you will. You can’t stop time while time doesn’t exist. DIO‘s regenerating abilities after taking the hit might be problematic tho

I know this video is a bit older but Dio also held the power of charisma (legit stated in jojos) part 3 enemy stand users were just followers of Dio, part 4 stand users were all leftover experiments from Dio, part 5 Dio had a kid, Part 6 Dios most devoted follower literally ended the universe for Dio after Dio was already gone. literally every single part (not really including part 2) was all because of dio the ripple effect he had even after he was gone. His influence literally carried on through every part. Just to reinforce the power he had over the whole of Jojos

Would love a stand stats vid on NutKingCall, like its ability easily makes it one of the strongest stands in part 8 the only problem is that it was super under utilized

I think Dios greatest feat in vampiric strenght was how he just wiped of the head of the police chef. Bones are harder than steel and he just effortlessly wiped of half of the police chefs head, I already said that but it's just a great feat noone notices. That puts him above Stone Free strenght easily 'cause she couldn't break steel

Way I see it: KC cannot erase time if said time happened during a time stop. Most people act like everything in the time stop happens in the fraction of a second, which is wrong. Any action preformed during a time stop is effectively 0. If Dio uses The World before KC activates anything, then Dio cannot lose by any means because KC itself hasn't activated yet at all, meaning if it activates after The World's time stop then Diavolo still retains his mortal injuries from before the activation and will still have them after, if he can even activate KC to begin with. Epitath can see 10 seconds into the future but all actions preformed under time stop wouldn't even be visible due to happening outside of the flow of time, so only the effects would be noticed, leading to Diavolo seeing Dio teleport around out of nowhere and his own death via donut. And if you think King Crimson can activate it's time slip/skip before The World can stop time, try and remember: Dio could activate his time stop without Polnareff(The guy who can react to light speed tier things) even noticing it, and without having to shout ZA WARUDO every time. This means Dio could very subtly activate it at any point and KC would have 0 warnings unless Dio was feeling very, very, VERY Jobber-ific that day and wanted to announce his time stops 10 seconds in advance of actually activating them.

I only just realized this, but the Space Ripper Stingy Eyes could be considered something like high-pressure water cannons.

The World is stronger than Star Platinum. The barrage battle they had at the start was a The World with a weakened left side and he still won.The roadroller arguement is invalid since in the manga it is only Dio attacking it. Araki even said that The World has limitless time stop if fully developed. According to the Stone Ocean stats, Star Platinum has a C in potential. Therefore, Star Platinum's timestop peaked at 5 seconds.

imagine Dio at his vampire's best potential with the world. would probably solo like 99% of Jojo

I feel like even though there are a few stands with somewhat more powerful abilities than the world, which I still think is the most broken ability in the series, the fact that Dio is a vampire as the user immediately makes him the strongest and most dangerous antagonist in the series in my opinion

While I know some will say otherwise, I REALLY think that star platinums light speed is a figure of speech rather than his actual speed. If star platinum/the world could move and react at the speed of light, it’d be unstoppable at least against most non reality bending stands.

Also Dio was up and moving as a stand user for all of about 5-10 minutes before the Stardust crusaders kicked in his door, if they were even just like half an hour later Dio would have been basically ruling the world.

Hell yeah, some DIO love

Dio/TW are OP AF and (imo) by far the 2nd strongest stand in any 1v1 situation from pt3. To pt6.

fun fact(?): at one point dio was gonna have every stand power but araki thought it would be too strong which is why we see him with hermit purple once (but now dios hermit purple is juat jonathans stand instead of actual hermit purple)

8:04 Now I understand for powerscaling reasons why you can’t say that Dio has his vampire abilities since he never uses them however the general consensus and the fact he still didn’t use his powers post-Joseph blood says he was too cocky. This fully fits with Dio’s character as well. He never once saw the Joestars as a threat and rather a nuisance. After Jonathan kinda beat his ass he gave the Joestars their credit and didn’t underestimate that they were powerful, however it’s believed he just didn’t want to use his powers seeing stands as superior and his own stand being enough even after Jotaro unlocked time stop resistance. I personally believe that he just thinks too high of himself which is evident since he changed his name to DIO to straight up “be god” and it’s clear he’s a narcissist despite his good intentions with the heaven plan. As for his general vampiric abilities such as healing and what not dropping yes I believe so. I don’t think Dio could do an instant freeze and would likely take some time to do it. His stingy eyes would also take time, but he could do it. High DIO should be able to use all his vampiric abilities just as well as he did in part 1 considering the scar where he took Jonathan had disappeared.

DIO is my favorite character in all of jjba! He’s absolutely incredible. Say what you will about vanilla ice being a simp, but could you really blame him.

Who in the fandom disregards Dio? I have never heard this opinion.

@@METAsMETAs usually people who put him against other time stoppers without realizing that those time stoppers are scaled much differently. I.E. Sakuya Izoyai from Touhou vs Dio. Sakuya (without scaling her to other characters) is a decent City-Small Mountain Buster that gets scaled to Universal AP because of shitty scaling and vague as statements. The highest I’ve seen for Dio is Large Building to City Block Level with scaling to other characters. Now, I believe DIO has a decent shot against Low-End Sakuya if we assume she can’t move in his stopped time but he gets stomped by high-end/wanked Sakuya. The thing isn’t that DIO is weak, he just gets matched with stronger or more haxed characters. Also, DIO Over Heaven solos Touhou.

DIO over heaven, like the rest of Eyes of Heaven, is silly stupid dumb fun. There's a reason that game is non canon so idk why it gets brought up at all tbh.

Duo can also spam time stop permenantly if he really wants to since his vampiric power just stops any fatigue and stamina usage compared to jotaro, where jotaro just gets older and weaker that reflects in star platinum despite it still being fairly op in part 6.

In my Pink Justice fanfic, we see Dio use all his powers. The-World, Hermit-Blue, vampire abilities in unison. Then he also uses the Anubis sword himself & has Anubis possess his Stand so he can fight independently. Jotaro who learned time stop early must face Anubis who is controlling Dio's Stand while Joseph & Lisa face Dio himself

Thats kind Of a Broken Concept,Fully Awakened Dio+The World+Anubis And "Hermit Blue" ?. He can Literraly Just Use Hb To wrap arround Jotaro While In Ts And Trow Start Trowing Him Arround Breaking A few Of his Bones In the Process,Then While Mid Air He can Use Stingy Eyes To damage Him a Bit More And send Him Flying,Then Use Anubis To Cut Jotaro Up Like a American Ground Beef In a Saturday Barbecue,And Finnish Him off With A punch To the Gut. That sounds Super Broken But super Fucking Cool.

DIO last canon ts was 11 seconds…after a few minutes his ts went from 9 to 11 he could get 25 in less than a day so epic

Pretty sure that he _thought_ it went to 11 but the 2 extra secs were Jotaro's time stop instead

i think dios ability is like running. if you run for a long time you need to rest before u can do it again. but just short sprints allows you to do it without as much rest, which is how dio was teleporting but not spamming a main ts

The most horrifying part of dio is that his stand is so compatible with him. If he was in his original body he would eventually had infinite time stop. His worst weakness is his personality

the reason he didnt use his vampiric abilities is probably because he didnt have to the world is much stronger than any of his vampiric abilities

@@unLokii- tbh the "light" from his eyes is concentrated high pressurized spinal fluid, and since jonathan's body was resisting dio i dont think he was able to manipulate his own spinal fluid that well

Yeah people always forget that part 3 DIO was weaker than part 1 Dio for most of the fight. And his entire goal in that fight was to regain his lost power by obtaining more Joestar blood. If he stole Jotaro’s blood, we could easily assume that his other vampiric abilities would return, and it would speed up his rule over frozen time.

Star Platinum and The World are probably many times faster than light since Silver Chariot cut a beam of light and Star Platinum kept up with a Silver Chariot that had a speed boost and then The World outsped Star Platinum at the beginning of the fight

it doesn't make sense that when DIO only had his head, he was able to use laser eyes, and then when He had a body and the SAME head in part 3, he wasn't able/used laser eyes.

Remember that one time Dio punched the Road Roller himself instead of having stand do it meaning he can match many stands physically

Nothing can harm him in his time stop other than characters with plot armor... Calamity cant reach him inside his time stopped bubble, if he is close to Tooru thats it, Dio wins.

What do yall think would have happened if dio got that stone that u put on the piller men mask', like what kara did to become the perfect being?

Considering the stand speed in half a second of ts dio could do a donut and a uppercut In this greatest high (excluding heaven) he has 9 seconds In eyes of heaven its 20,and im pretty sure he bypasses rtz in EOH

This means if he had achieved heaven he would be at his peak with a time stop of no limits or limitations

Imagine if the pillar men thought to freeze their body's like dio.
