The absolute best way to escape a jiujitsu triangle choke - Keenan Cornelius

Комедия

The final segment to a 3 part triangle defense sequence found on keenanonline.com/ Dont bother with other triangle escapes, they do not work. This one actually works. So much of what is posted online these days are techniques that dont work or havent been tested fully. dont get mislead with false information. if you are having problems in bjj make sure you are learning REAL techniques from verified high level blackbelts that compete or have competed extensively in the past. Everything else is not guaranteed to actually work.

honestly if it's perfectly executed technique a lot of times even if you know it's coming you won't be able to stuff it. A simple trap and roll if executed perfectly is basically impossibe to stop after it develops to a certain point

Well really isnt much detail to it, that was pretty much it. You can get into it by tackling opponent, scooping behind both knees or ankles. Key is to get your ridgehands into back of his achilles. Pull up and arch yor back and his too actually. Then turn him over by stepping over him. Pull up on his legs, put one knee into small of back. CAUTION!! CAN BREAK BACK CAUSING PARALYSIS OR DEATH!!!!

This magic works thanks keenan! Your videos are helping get to purple belt and I've been stuck in blue for six years due to injuries and frail body from overuse in the sport that im a black belt so to speak which is gymnastics like breakdance i competed in the worlds. My neck is very taught and after using any triangle escape I'd need atleast a week off jits from spasms in the neck area post triangle defense. I have started to be stubborn about this purple and took responsibility to teach myself= 99% bullshit videos online made me worse. Found yours= 2 weeks of drilling this escape my black belt friend can't triangle me anymore and my neck does not seize up or take strain in the traps and attachments. I want to deeply thank you and tell everyone that it seems to me your methods are cutting edge genius, hacks to being stuck in jits blues. God bless, hope to meet you in future 🙏

I’ve been looking for an effective triangle escape. I tried what I saw in some other videos and still found myself getting choked or arm barred because I was posturing or staying centered. I tried this tonight, and it worked perfectly. I did lean to the one side to to relieve pressure, and he wasn’t able to reach my head. Before I even completed the turn, he gave up on the triangle. I’m a blue belt with one stripe. My partner tonight has three stripes on a white. Thanks for the great video.

I’ve tried this many times, it works against most people at my level. Although when I try it with upper belts (brown/black and even some purple) they tend to catch me with straight arm locks (reversed armbar) as soon as I extend my arm towards their neck/shoulder. It really doesn’t work unless I extend my arm, but now I’m too afraid getting caught to even attempt it against more skilled players.

I'm only a white belt, but I've now successfully executed this escape against white, blue, and purple belts without getting arm barred. It's so good vs. people my own skill level I'm half tempted to let them triangle me so I can get an easy pass. I tried it against a guy 50 lbs heavier (and 20 years younger) than me with really long legs, he couldn't choke me with the triangle but I couldn't generate enough torque to get out of the triangle. Still better than what he usually does to me in that position. In addition, I've found that the grip Keenan describes is a very strong defensive grip if you just want to chill and catch a breather in somebody's guard. I've grabbed that loop with both hands and have found it to be a very strong defensive position.

I am convinced, as you show, there is no opportunity for an armbar submission to counter this escape. although I do believe your lapel grip could be broken be power-locking under your arm and hyperextending the elbow joint as you begin to turn which would force you to release your grip.

Hey that’s a really interesting move and thank you for that!! But have you ever tried to pull it off when the guy has his hand (the left one in all examples in the vid) pulling his left foot? I’ve seen a lot of people do that to tighten the choke and some of them keep holding on to it So just wondering if this would work against your technique
