The Abolition of Man in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World

Analyzing Huxley’s Brave New World is challenging. It is a novel more interesting for its ideas than its literary qualities.
But what is the main import of its ideas, aside from casting doubt on how satisfying a totalitarian government can be even if it caters to our lusts and manages life entirely?
I have used C.S. Lewis’s The Abolition of Man to reglect on the questions that Huxley poses but does not answer.

Had to subscribe to your substack due to your Bloom treatment and understanding of materialism and its impact on true value. Can't wait to finish this one!

Would you say that the problem with Huxley's Utopia is the lack of the goods that come with freedom and suffering? Or is it something more than that?

Great topic, but it was disappointing to see it reduced to Godwin's Law early on. The speaker is clearly a well-read man and can almost certainly do better than that.
