@@JPesco thanks for the info! but in my country the Ninja 300 is sold without ABS as the R3, so, maybe is cheaper but the R3 has better power, and I love the looks of the Yamaha. My daily trip to work is half a twisty road and half a highway, it's a half and hour ride, so i think the R3 is the better option. I will keep in mind the sprocket change, I hope to have my "little" R3 by the end of the year!!

First of all it has fairings, those are rare these days. The V4 engine sounds amazing and it looks great with it's golden wheels and single sided swingarm.

You were very honest, you don't know much about adventure and off road bikes. I won't say anything negative about the video because it's very Muricanized, since i live in central America, getting a second or third bike isn't always a huge step up, it's just a wiser step towards what you really need or love. Here, we develop skills that make youget the best out of a pity 12 hp machine, in twice as long as most first world riders think they have outgrown their bikes, because their streets are perfect and they have gotten used to the speed and acceleration of their machines. My first bike had 13 HP, didn't hit 60 mph, my 2nd bike was as well a second hand bike, it has 23.5 HP and it did hit around 80 mph, but getting there wasn't quick. Then i analyzed what i needed, i saved some good money, and bought the Kawasaki Versys x300, and i love it for what it is. I don't see myself riding (where i usually ride) with a 500+ lb bike, I'll wait for the Versys x400 and that will probably be the best balance in power, speed, weight and fuel economy, that a brand can offer to a guy from a country where you can't really say it's easy to make 3k$ to get a "beginner" bike.

Some interesting options. My first bike I bought this year was a used 2016 Honda CBR500R. Absolutely love it and plan to stick with it for some time still. However I have started thinking about possible upgrades for the future in a few years' time. I find I want to keep a more comfortable upright position like my current 500R gives me, but really love the sporty look, but also have no desire to kill myself. I've come to the conclusion for the style of riding I find myself doing and the kind of things I want, that a Sport Tourer is the way I should go next. Which one that'll be, well we'll see in a few years, but definitely a sport tourer will be my next one.

As my 7th bike, I will get me an old Suzuki LS650 Savage single cylinder japanese custom. I've had 5 Hondas since the mid-90's (ranging from an XR400R to a CBR1100XX), and now for the last 8 years a 2008 Hayabusa which I will never sell, as I've ridden almost 120.000 km all over Europe on it and absolutely love it (and the german autobahns). The Savage has about as much (little) power as the 'busas starter motor, and it will be the perfect polar opposite to the madness that a 200mph bike sometimes can incur. My native Finland does not take kindly to speeding, so the Savage will in all it's mechanical simplicity and slowness be great for cruising to town for that hamburger. And I just turned 50, so society expects me to get a custom anyway.

So being a “Neo-Retro” (Triumph) guy here, started on a 900 EFI Speedmaster and after a few years, upgraded to a Speed Twin and boy that was the best thing I ever did...torquey little shit. And the dual Brembo brake upgrade over my previous bike are fantastic! And don’t get me wrong, I like pretty much all the other major motorcycle brands (except Harley *shivers*) I was very interested in a FZ-09, Z900 or Z900RS, but at the end of the day, I made my decision. And guess that makes me a Trumpet fanboy lol oh well ..but after about 2,000 miles in 3 weeks you could say I’m pretty sexually satisfied lmao

Basically most bikes around 400 cc and below you will get bored of quite quickly - or in most cases you will just progress and learn what kind of bike you REALLY want. A 125 will get boring more quickly of course, because they will be limited for mainly city use and some country roads perhaps. If you want a bike you wont get tired of immediately, you will likely need to step into the 650 league (or something like a KTMRC390 because of how focused it is, but then again that's a high price and very specific kind of bike that might not be to your liking). If you have friends to ride with, it will take longer to get bored of your first bike, because you are more into the riding experience with them, compared to just your bike. Considering your age, I think a 125 will be fine, just expect to get bored with it after a year or so - but then you will have some riding skill and also the age to upgrade. Perhaps a 125 dirtbike / supermoto is preferable, as they can be enjoyed in more ways than just regular street riding. They are, lets say, more easy to goof around on and be silly with :)

Second bike? I started on a KLR650. I'll probably die on it. Why would I need another bike. You could do wheelies or you can do the exact opposite on this dive monster. Did I mention it's the bike special forces uses. Sure a lot of people say it could use a sixth gear, but I'm only using two of them anyway with it's massive power band. Plus there are tons of aftermarket upgrades. I got crashbars and luggage racks bigger enough to go on excursions for weeks and I won't even have to stop for gas with it's mammoth tank. I mostly chose it cause it's got legroom for days. Only paid three jiggles for it. Did I mention it's used by the special forces.

For safety, saving, and talking your family into it, the best first bike is a little used dirt bike like a 125cc or a 50cc street bike greatly simplifies your life- cheap, no motorcycle license needed for 49cc in the US, no insurance, gets you used to lots of flack from big Harley riders and Murican Made dreamers. A good second bike is a Yamaha FZ-07 or MT-07. This video is more about third bikes for me- my choice is the new Yamaha Tracer 900GT if you have the cash, or a used 2005 to 2008 Kawasaki ZZR600 with a taller windshield and thicker seat if you are cheap or using your extra cash for other stuff like me. I do like your list- it seems a lot more honest than some douches only recommending Murican Made

hanafi zahar Yamaha bikes have always been highly advanced from the beginning. Honda’s are like Toyota’s everyone has one and there is nothing special about them. If you’ve ever ridden an R6/R1 and a CBR you’d see a clear difference. Yamaha is the luxury, badass, fast, heart pounding bike that will keep you coming back for more.

I’d also argue that R6/R1’s are just like how you described Honda’s, they’re one of the most common bikes and there’s nothing really special about them. I’d still take a Yamaha any day over a Honda but I wouldn’t say they’re the best or anywhere near.
