For VIN verification you need to transfer the labels under the old hood to the the new hood - it holds vital information that the DMV check for it

I have a 06 650i, if your car is smoking, it's the valve stem seals. The PCV valves are part of the problem if their ripped, it causes the car to run rough. But smoking, after its idling for a few minutes its the valve stem seals.

Been waiting for this as it’s my quarantine entertainment! How did you gain so much mechanical knowledge? It’s really impressive. I’m a car guy but can only just about change brake pads 🤣 I’m good with cosmetics fixes but not so much the mechanical side of things.

Valve seals diagnostic: engine idle for 10min, quick rev with smoke. AT-205 will rejuvenate those seals easily.

Im Getting a P2096 to lean to bank 1 and bank 2 already fixed/replaced valve cover and gaskets, mass airflow sensor, intake manifold gaskets, pcv hose, and spark plugs, what do you think its still giving me a check engine light won't pass emissions. its a 2012 BMW X3 xdrive 28i

Pulley vs belt. Belt is the rubber belt with the grooves on it. Also, valve stem seals isn't hard if you're patient - it's mostly labour.
