The problems with cars generally in Nigeria are the mechanics. They don't repair your car, they damage your cars. VW and Audi are good brands but a typical Nigerian mechanic presume all cars are Toyota and Honda.

Good point. This is why we need some more educated vehicle technicians in Nigeria. Not just practical experience but also be able to gain more on paper (theory) of which i am working on actually 😊

range Rover was good when BMW and Bosch use to make the engines. as soon as Jaguar took over, it only had had name for status upliftment and looks.

You failed to mention some popular brands, Nissan; Infiniti; dodge etc… The BMW is a powerful car, usually poor maintenance is the problem, you shouldn’t be looking to sell if well maintained.

Make a video on the "range rovers sport" the problems you will face while owing it and the cost of maintaining it.

For bmw say the e90 series. But the e46 series are dope. Very solid and runs great till date. Cheap to maintain and has very sound performance across board. Still sells for 2.5 million a neat 2002 model. And can serve you more than a Corolla can. Even with cheaper engine going for 260,000 V6

Nissan Pathfinder 7 seater 2006,7,8 models. They are quite rugged. I used one for 9 years but the second hand value was too low. It was a giveaway. I was relieved to let it go.

Talk about the dodge , talk.about all muscle cars if they are reliable and cheap to maintain. I see alot of them and now I'm convince muscle cars are able to work perfectly,tho with the right mechanic for sure

What about Hyundai Genesis

BMW is a car to own, you just have to be maintenance conscious. I have driven a BMW for 7yrs with no major issues. Just be smart to know the model years to buy. It's quite unfortunate for Nigerians not to have much BMWs around

It is also not uncommon to see people drive such cars there, plus politicians in Abuja and their children (not only northern politicians) made driving such cars not such big deal on their wide an smooth road networks..of course they have bad roads too In other words, their is an abundance of the good enough roads needed and the sporty and fancy cars to drive them on in the North, if you know, then you know...

Agree with you, Mikelo. Beemers are actually quite reliable if you know your way around them. Drove a 535i myself for 12 years. Travelled routinely with it between Lagos and Enugu. That said, if you don't know your way around them, or use incompetent mechanics, you've had it...

A friend of mine once bought a very neat car not a usual or regular type of brand I can't it remember the name, the only and the last time he drove it was from the vendor to his house, the price of the car was too cheap to be true b4 I could say jack it developed gear box problem, engine problem,in his effort to make sure he repair the car he was spending close to the amount he bought the car when he went back to the vendor to sell the car he offered him peanut my guy wept, the car was parked for years and was later disposed as scrab very horrible experience 😭😭😭😭

The Range Rover's air suspensions can't withstand the Nigeria roads tho they are kind of adaptive on an all terrain still but can never be compared to land cruisers, Hiluxes and probably Jeep Wranglers.
