You take the wrong opponent in his own field of expertise to challenge, Paul. This is Larry, a guy who constantly pull good cards in random packs (except in Walmart, f*ck them). He can just skip the singles and go full random and still has better chance to win. The hearts of cards is with him.

I've never played Yu-Gi-Oh but I love how chilled these guys are. I play MtG and sometimes wish you'd find players like this because everyone gets so intense at events and you get those players that hate that you build "rule of cool" decks. I usually have to to tell someone that "I like zombies and bugs, guy, it doesn't affect you what I choose to play. Just be glad someone is willing to play with your attitude."

Lol I remember in college we would go to the card shop and do something similar with our meager budgets to mix things up. We would typically set a $5 cap then build decks from the massive 10 cent bin to duel with. Sometimes we would add a little extra and allow individual cards to be bought from the showcase for a little extra to supplement or act as trump cards for the deck but never much more than a few dollars and only if everyone agreed to it and could utilize the same amount of resources. The whole point wasn't to make a competitive deck but the best, most fun and creative decks to play against each other all given the same resource pool and limits to work with. It was honestly some of the most fun we had in my opinion, and was a whole process. We had yo spend a decent amount of time (usually between 30 mins and an hour) weeding through the massive bin, pulling out potential cards building the deck as we went and thinking about all that our opponents might decide, knowing them and their typical play styles. I get that buying fresh packs would require a higher price, but it is just funny to me thinking how much richer blooded it would seem to us to have a $50 budget for something like this.

I don’t think Larry could Pendulum Summon Beautia at any point. Pendulum Summon requires that the level be between the scales. Coolia’s being 1 and Dreamia’s being 7, which means he could only Pendulum Summon monsters between Level 2-6. That would’ve made the duel have a drastically different result. Still a fantastic show! I collect MTG rather than Yu-Gi-Oh, only ever bought two Yu-Gi-Oh products.. the very original Yugi and Kaiba decks when they were first released and never played it but still have ended up here and loving your videos great job on them! Favourites are these vs challenges, especially the random lots ones, and the "Can X win" videos

Like the universe is in sync. Bunch of my ordered card came in today and like a early Christmas I'm opening them up and happily upgrading my (admittedly old af ) deck and organizing my binders.

Love the budget builds! Some fair yugioh feels so good. :3

Oh I love these when it's MTG! I know a guy who builds commander decks for under 5$. Didn't think you could do it with Yugioh but Paul and Larry made pretty good decks! I would love to see that again.

Limited is definitely more of a thing in MTG. Some cards in YuGiOh can't even be activated outside of their archetype.

I tried to watch other duels on this channel, and other channels, but they never kept me entertained. This one, despite me only understanding half of it, managed to keep me entertained. Don't know how much that is worth mentioning, but I felt like saying it and leaving a comment for the Algorithim.

I really like these low-budget formats, I think my go to wouldve been a flip deck with Krawlers in circuit breakers
