I'm a stay at home wife that's been going through cancer the last 12 years & I LOVE the color black & I mostly wear the black summer dress however I like being covered up. I don't wear mini skirts at all. I also love a simple black slip dress. I also like the lay low black dress you showed. That's my favorite one of all. I could style this dress in MANY ways. I also like the dress with cape gown. The 50's style dress is also a favorite.

@@craftyourwaytopeace Thank you! Was the conservative one your favorite, the Silk shirt dress? It feels so soft against the skin. It's the first silk dress I tried on and nothing felt softer before.

I'm so glad I found your channel. You show things I would ACTUALLY wear. I'm 53 so I don't think there's anything us older women can't wear we just have to adjust the length of our skirts & shirts. Style things a tad different for our age but baby give me some leather! I still rock leather I just tone it down to suit my age.

A very interesting video! I think my favourite is the business dress- a good mix of confidence and looks. It's the style that I think of as most natural for you as well :). I like how you focus on buying as you have budget, over time, with overall usefulness as the primary decider in which dresses to buy first. I use a very similar approach to my own purchases!

Yes indeed, I see myself wear the work dress the most out of practically but I look forward to the warmer weather to make room for the silk one, it feels like sheer heaven. You ticked all the black dress boxes for me except one but that's ok.. I posses a few black dresses, ok more than a few, And you showed all the styles I do have more or less. I'd like to point out something you said about wearing high stilettos with the dresses you've shown and the dresses I wear. I think if you are trying to project elegance, wearing a pair of 5" heels may put you in the category of high $$ "Escort" on the hunt Just saying. It can cheapen an outfit the second your foot is through the threshold. You were on point with that subject. I've seen it a lot in my time. I think the more elegant you dress your heels/shoes need to project that also. So glad I found your channel. We have very similar fashion attitude & sense, took me a while to find you but here we are ..so thank you for your videos.

Dee, such a beautiful and elaborate message, thank you. Welcome to my channel 🥰. I see expensive brands on TV, women in power who clearly have money wear these kinds of stilettos on stage with a nice outfit and it's a complete turn off. That's when I realized it doesn't matter if you spent $10 or $1000 on the sky high heels, they still look cheap and should be avoided if trying to look elegant. They are fun to look at and try on at home, but not to be worn in public in my opinion. We probably won't all agree and it's ok. Wear what makes you happy I say.

@@deeterr1227 on an honest note I didn't like the sweetheart dress how it looked on me. It looked better on the model. I also found a lot better examples of dresses I liked but they weren't in black 🥺. So ugh it's never perfect but a continuous improvement. 😊
