I'm very proud to say that, after a year of "suck phase", i passed two months ago in "training phase". I think i reached the "god phase" Update: now i'm not gold anymore, i reached plat 2 april 2021 Update:diamond 2 may 2021 Update: still diamond, but i beat my friend, the guy that introduced me to the game august 2021 Update: i entered suck phase and im getting so fucking angry every match i play, i dont recognize myself anymore... gone down to plat 2 in 2s and gold 2 in 1s... my opponents are so bad but i somehow keep losing to them... october 2021 Update december 2021: havent been playing rl these days, im busy grinding sideswipe, now gold 2 in 2s, silver 3 in hoops and silver 5 in 1s Update January 2022: still focusing on other games like Fifa or Total War warhammer or just school, but at least i reached plat in sideswipe hoops Update April 2022: should I start grinding again?

True. After the god phase I broke past my personal barrier of Diamond 2 div 3 and finally made it to champ. Took a few weeks of just casually practicing and playing casuals so next time I play ranked itll be easy. I queued 1 ranked game and felt completely lost and outpaced from playing casuals so much. Said "nah were not doing this" and went back on the grind. Am still solidly in champ so the "crash and burn phase" effectively lasted 1 ranked game :D

The best part about the stages is that you can always revert to the training phase and become god again. And I think I figured out how to beat it. I've been ssl for so long and I feel like I'm still god (not trying to be cocky) even though I go up against pro's a lot. I usually focus on my mechanics and it works out because I always train every day and I never lose them so that's what I suggest for anyone in the succ or the crash and burn phase, or acceptance. Just focus on mechanics and teamwork and it never gets old. Also, if your in the crash and burn phase, try free styling, its really fun

I feel pretty familiar with this cycle, mainly because I used to push rank a lot in other video games. However, I think the rotation of the cycle could be altered based on the type of player you are. What I mean by this is: When I started playing about 4 months ago, I had friends in gold who I needed to catch up to. So I would say that I started in the *Acceptance* phase. I was bad, and I knew I was bad. Next, I feel as if I transitioned into the *Succ* phase. I figured "Hey, I suck, and I know I suck... I'll use *Casual* and *Extra Modes* as a way to practice." While I was playing a lot more, I didn't feel any better. So I transitioned into the *Training* phase. Where I sat down, and taught myself new mechanics, practiced those mechanics. This is where I learned that there is a huge difference between practicing a mechanic and being able to apply said mechanic in a game. It was at the moment that I learned how to apply my practice that I would say I transitioned into a window of the *god* phase. However, with the more difficult mechanics, I practice and practice and practice, but still can't apply them - and thus, this drives me into the crash and burn phase. My first *Crash and Burn* phase lasted roughly 4 days. During that time, I still played, and we still won close to if not more than we do any other night, but my mentality was completely defeated. Most nights we'd win 6-10 games in a row, and lose 1 game to people who were blatantly better than us, and I would feel like trash., but I would end the night saying "we went 5+ and 1" that is still really good,.. and thus, the cycle is now repeating for me. Wherein I am now on the cusp of hitting Diamond, after my first rotation of the cycle. However, this time around, I feel as if I was in the *acceptance* phase for about a week, where I knew I was bad compared to my other plat peers, and low diamond peers, but figured sulking on it wouldn't do anything., so I transitioned quickly into the *training* phase, where I've been for roughly a month now. In-fact, Thanovics "100 hours of X" training videos in a way have inspired me to practice a lot longer than most. On average, I practice roughly 5+ hours a day, and play... maybe 5 matches a day? Maybe I'm just in the *Succ* phase, and telling myself that I'm in the *training* phase, by practicing for stupid amounts of time every day.

Just completed a cycle through these stages. Been playing a lot of Snow Day mode lately. Hit god stage to get me to Gold II, then the crash happened. Starting losing, which spiraled into a 6 game losing streak (and probably something like 13 of 15 matches) where I couldn't do anything right, solo queue teammates couldn't defend, and I found my crash bottoming out at Bronze III. Finally got myself rebounded to Silver III.

AlphaV honestly getting really good at both of these things dont really matter until C2 or higher. anything below you can either practice your game iq or mechanics and it will probably get you past diamond. i learned to (somewhat) airdribble in gold. hit some nutty shots but learning that also helped me with my overall ball control and confidence in making nice offensive plays happen. didnt focus too much on positioning but still got C1
