I will mention one but I'm just saying even if Disney doesn't make the best movies like they did before they do make the best saddest character backstories because no matter how many times you see up it will make you cry and the character you should have next should be Bruno or Mirabel and Jessie and Doc Hudson or matter and Tiana

@@m4t0u5 but often it's just kinda lame when they do. It's tough for me to explain but it feels kinda like "NOOOOO THIS CHARACTER DIED!! NOOO, that's so sad" and then when they return "oh. They're alive again." Sometimes companies that produce movies kills off a beloved character, but then they bring it back again because they think that mabye more people wants to watch it if the character comes back, so that the company can earn more money

I mean he ain’t wrong, and also we also figure out in a line of dialogue that Hiro and Tadashi’s parents died when Hiro was 3. Which is why he lives with his Aunt Cass.

I actually wached "coco" many times it was so sad that my eyes started watering.

Fun factoid: The writers originally planned for Bing Bong to be the villain.

5 more characters with sad back stories. 1.Marlin had his wife and children except for one eaten before they could become a family. 2.Maui's parents threw him in the ocean for no apparent reason. And he was found by the gods and became a demigod dedicating his immortal life to getting people to love him. 3.Elsa was born with powers she didn't know how to control and was forced to keep away from her sister and pretty much everyone in her kingdom. 4.Dory lost her parents at a very young age and had trouble getting back to them. Due to her short term memory loss. 5.Jessie was abandoned by her owner and when Al came to put her in the Japanese museum she had to wait for Woody for years in storage where it's dark and cramped.

With Maui, his parents may have been too young for a child which is why they did what they did. Not an excuse for why they did what they did but somewhat of an explanation of why they did it

I think the saddest is Bruno from Encanto because his family pretty much abandoned by his family because of his gift and is seen as a heartless monster in their eyes

Don't forget about Ralph from wreck it Ralph he was treated like an outcast by the nicelanders. They never understood him and he was forced to live in a dump made out of smashed building parts. All just because his the bad guy of his game even though his really just an actor and not an actual villain. And when he abandons his game to try and win a metal his game almost shutdowns😔😔😔😔. Fortunately for him his story has a happy ending☺️☺️😊😊

Actually, he DIDN’T watch as a barracuda ate his wife and literally 98+% of his offspring. He was knocked cold for so long it was nighttime when he found out. But that last part is perfect as it is. If anything, what makes Marlin’s backstory so much darker and sadder is his realization of his losses. That face he made as he looked at a dark, empty nest can traumatize further if one had the guts to make a more anthropomorphic version of the movie.

me and hiro kinda have the same story. execpt my cousin died and my brother loved my cousin and saved my cousin but died in the fire i’ve cried everyday since. 😢

I have only watched a couple episodes of Big Hero 6, and haven’t watched it in like 2 years or maybe a little more now. Since Hero is very smart, and it seems like he’s good with robots, has he tried making a robot clone of Tedashii yet?

I agree with Hector being no 1, he loves his family more than his musician career. But he got betrayed by his best friend and causes his family to think he abandoned them. Having his entire life living in lies is a terrible fate.

This made me cry😭😭😭

Only 3 of those fit the definition of "backstory"

The saddest part about Wall-E is that he spent 700 years watching his companions die and having to cannibalize the others for spare parts. I would bet he was alone for the better part of 100 to 200 years

Hiro does have another sad thing in his backstory, in the first 10 minutes of the movie he said that his parents died when he was 3.

Spoiler for Big Hero 6: The mentor actually faked his own death and used Hiro’s micro bots to evacuate and get revenge on his rival who worked for the school.

Ok hear me out Fifi from beauty and the beast Fifi’s parents died when she was young and she needed money and shelter, so she went to the Beasts castle and was given the job of a lowly maid where she most likely struggled with money and lived in poor conditions. Then, years later, she was finally gathering enough money to leave when she became enchanted and was turned into a feather duster. Her life seemed awful until five years into the enchantment when she fell in love with the maître D of the castle, Jean-Luc Lumiére. Life was finally okay, but when they turned human again, she didn’t want to leave because Lumiére’s there. Even after all this, she is barely recognized as a character. And the cherry on top of the cake is that her relationship probably isn’t allowed because it involves two people of different money status/social status. It’s that or I read to much fan fiction lol.

The last one only got sadder and sadder 😭😭😭

Up brings more tears to me than any Disney movies.

As heroic as Tadashi's efforts were, the outcome was realistic. Unless you're a fully equipped firefighter, don't run into burning buildings.
