    "and a mortgage takes your freedom". That advice alone is worth the price of admission. In the USA, we are a nation of renters; citizens literally "own" very little. It is amusing to hear folks stating, "I own this property." Really? To test this statement, just stop paying the yearly extortion fee the government calls real estate tax and watch the result.

Definitely the most important, eyes opening seminar available out there for free. "Accept fact as a fact"... He clearly opened my mind and helped me thinking in a bigger picture. From 34min have realised that my family is the same. They all think they own the house on mortgage and so pompous about it! And crying for other people about how cash flow poor they are! Their aim is to take on as much debt as they just can. Their whole life is based on debt! Stay away from similar mentality people otherwise you will end up in a big shit like them. Zero freedom and just pushing the hamster wheel. Well done Anton! Thank you

    He's spot on about Liverpool. I also grew up there (I'm 24 now), went to university there. While I like the city now for its humour, family, friends etc. I knew many years ago that I would never stay there. Now I don't. I live in Russia (temporarily for saving money among other reasons). The left-liberal bias is awful in Liverpool. The community is more tribal than anything. Labour could do anything and the people will always blame someone else, never labour and never themselves. I'm glad to have Liverpool as part of my identity, I like to think I've taken only the positives, isolated and harnessed them. But the future and the world is far bigger than that! So from one to another, thank you for this lecture Anton.

    I have gone down the path of buying my a small house in a cheap suburb. It's been one of the better decisions I have made. The small repayments have allowed me to save the bulk of my wages. I have now built a pool of investments which are delivering some rewards. I could tell that plenty of people snicker and feel superior when I tell them what suburb that I live in, but I could not care less, it has allowed me to pump all my remaining dollars into a variety of investments. I can feel the shackles slowly loosening.

    Anton, you didn't even include property tax in those numbers! Redo the sample with taxes included! Instead of buying a house I started a business that generated a six figure income. I then paid for my wife's education to become a real estate broker, she now makes six figures. We still don't own and are now building properties to to sell. I quit my business and am beginning to trade full time. I've always intuited that mortgages are shackles, since I was in my early twenties. Capitalism is great if you live in a first world country and can make money (in terms of just living standards at least), but a bit shit if you're a kid being forced into one of these asian gulags, working with dangerous raw materials or equipment, or if you live in places where the first world literally uses you as a giant rubbish bin. Capitalism is by far the most efficient for growth - totally unparalleled, but that doesn't mean life is necessarily better for the majority of the world's population. You could pump billions of dollars into Africa or other poor countries like Bill Gates does, but someplace has to be the world's junkyard. Maybe I'm wrong and all of our problems will be sorted in our hyper-technological eco-future that's supposedly on the way.

    Randomly stumbled on a video about him talking about his experience at Goldman Sachs. I trade myself. Never heard of him before and this is the second video I stumbled on of his. This is absolutely phenomenal. I mean, truly phenomenal. I’m absolutely fascinated and hooked. I’ve listened 3 times today just absorbing. Will be listening again tomorrow. And I’m sure the next day. I live in the US and am in California, the socialist hell hole of the US. Im a conservative but surrounded by socialist marxists. Instead of dealing with another debate I’m just going to point them to this. They probably won’t have the capability of getting through the first 30 minutes but if they can’t then it proves just how much of a waste of time having a debate would have been. This is a masterpiece.

    Singapore is too hot and humid for me. I live in Switzerland for four years now. The weather is better ! And you can hike in the summer and hang around on the ski resorts in the winter ! Before that I lived in Japan for 28 years. Good place but very humid in the summer. And taxes are high ! Good thing in Switzerland : if you own stock, no taxes on capital appreciation. But for the rest I agree with you 100%. People should tend to be able to live from passive income.

    Fantastic point regarding mortgages and freedom. I've been trying to tell my friends about this for ages, a lot of them who have been foolish enough to disagree with me. There is a reason it is called a mortgage. "Mort" means death (Latin). A mortgage is a payment until death. You pay until you are dead.

I think for most people the longer they stay at a career working for an employer, the more difficult it is for them to break out and set up on their own. When you are over 50 years old you have to ask yourself how many years do I have left and what do I want to do with those years. Working for an employer - not! Keep up the great work...

    I left the UK three years ago when I was 23. I moved to Panama with my American Girlfriend. I went back to the UK this year to visit families, who are still talking bollocks about politics and struggling to meet monthly commitments having had mortgages, 'good jobs' and lamenting about the Great British way of life. I should also point out most of my family have never traveled beyond the odd package holiday. If you want to get ahead.....get on a plane! Thankfully, I had a relative who like Anton, knows what happens elsewhere in the World and understands the narratives forced onto people from an early age. I have passive incomes from some of the very things mentioned here such as REIT's and high interest compounded investments

    Im not so sure about renting for 30 years. Yeah you get a mortgage and have to pay some % on top, but if it happens that you can't pay for it, you can sell it/ rent it out/ airbnb/ share it with someone. Its just about thinking which property you buy and where. For example in England mortgage is cheaper than renting.

    Exactly... it's about "control". In the states, we have a 30 year fixed mortgage. That means the principal and interest payments never change for the entire life of the loan. Meanwhile, landlords can (and should) increase their rent every year. Who has the most control in that situation?

    Very great video I paused at 58:09 i will continue the rest tomorrow morning. But i just want to touch basis with something he said about the school system & losing parents. This is a huge factor in today's society which leaves children that " are naturally smart & aware" in a cess pool of 98% of dummies, if it's their parents, peers, or school teachers. The system is designed to degrade a child's awareness to the world of capitalism & basically a way out of the rat race. Don't take anyone's advice who continuously loses, and has nothing to show for over a period of years. Seek alternative education. It's convenience that destroys a child's ability to have awareness & intellect. Convenience. Great video Anton, cant wait to finish this video & re listen. Blessings

  • @ForgottenKnight1

    @ForgottenKnight1

    The system is wrong because it makes you identify with the majority. If the majority is dumber than you, you're fucked. This is why he is underlining alternative education a lot. Alternative education means any type of education that meets your needs and objectives and is outside of the government curriculum.

    It is a way to make money still. But I wouldn't even take the time from Tai Lopez, let alone any sort of advice. Grant Cardone is on another level, different business. Besides, US population is projected to grow. It is a country where people come to live, combined with expensive housing and property taxes, it is getting more difficult for the average Joe, or Jose, to purchase. Making it more of a renter of a renters market with rents skyrocketing.

    Very good stuff again! There were, are and ever will be only 2 "secrets" about successful trading: 1) you need to HAVE AN EDGE in the market - meaning higher chance for winning than losing (risk reward ratio does not matter). A good method can be taught by a good educator/mentor/friend trader 2) you need to MANAGE RISK (take profits, cut losses, size properly). It's not what you win, it's what you don't lose. It determines how much money remains on your account by the end of week, month, year Tested. Proven.

    No, he's not. Your teachers are there to teach you about specific subjects. You can be homeless and still be an excellent physics teacher. What kind of a life you have is irrelevant for teaching. The reason they're not millionaires is because they wanted to be teachers. Also, that idea is predicated on the assumption that the only measure of success in life is money, which is what Anton believes, but it isn't true. You don't have to have money to be successful, you don't have to have money to be able to give good advice. Now, if the only thing you care about in life is money then I pity you, but, yes, obviously you'll only want to learn from other rich people, but there's a hell of a lot more to life than that.

I made the decision this year to study economics and i freaking love it. Anyways, out of everything I've learned from Anton so far, is to think outside the box. I've realized now how i am literally just.following the path of everybody else, and thinking the same train of thoughts. From now on, instead of just learning and memorizing I'm going to think a little bit more creatively, and really try to analyze what I'm learning. It's so easy to just read a book and say "oh well I read this ans this is what i learned" ok but how can i apply it to my life and world? I'm going to be thinking a little bit more differently from now on. Gold gold gold. Thanks Anton 👌
