Why wouldn't major buyers buy themselves some protection against price moves like in cocoa? Futures market etc? Besides that, let's estimate the cost of making chocolate: 70% labour/energy/machine upkeep costs, 10% cocoa 5% milk 5% sugar 5% nuts like almonds and hazelnuts for praline, 5% palmoil. Order of magnitude... And then you have a shitload of seasonality in it. Tourism=buy chocolates on your way back for your grandmother. Same for thanksgiving and christmas.

Raj is probably right on this trade but I would never INVEST in a UTILITY on the AI theme. Laughable. The idea that copper is going to be in high demand and the electrical grid expanded to power AI algorithms is ridiculous from an engineering standpoint (people don't understand what AI is and what it runs on, it can fit in a small room). This is fairly obvious late cycle bubble messaging on a theme desperate for more attention.

Yeah experience this with tasty trade I bought a future butterfly and when I made a profit I tried to sell it but even though the price went way above my sale price they didn't execute the trade until it came back down where I only made two dollars it was obvious they were controlling the trade do I have any recourse

Personal mortgages can be double edged swords. If interest rates reach 15% again like in 1979 if you're on an average income you're screwed. 40% of landlords are unmortgaged. If you get a nice landlord who doesn't raise rent, congratulations you won and don't go bankrupt with £2000 interest payments on a 2-3 bed property.
