One thing I'd say is, if you ever see a fraction, ignore all the algebra to start with and go back to the basic rules of adding and subtracting fractions. Once you have a common denominator everything becomes so much more friendly and straightforward.
I am doing A level maths A level further maths and this still helps me with proof by induction!!!The moment you are smashing these questions notice that you are doing really good.
why is this so hard, please dont tell me this is gonna come up in the gcse mock?

That is absolutely incredible! Personally I think it’s too close to the exams to make the change now, I would prefer to just keep working hard and go into the exam super confident that you will come out with the 5! But don’t let that change your mind if you are set on pushing further, there will be a lot of new topics to learn of-course! 😁🙏🏼

hi sir i have a question what if we dont divide by 4 at 23:26 , and we factorise that would be 4x(3x=2)=0 so x=-4 and x=-2/3 is that right?
Absolutely love that you make videos for people who are aiming for higher as most other people only make it for grade 6s
Dear Maths Tutor, I have a question where you are first asked to fully factorise a quadratic expression (that is equal to 0), then use the answer to solve another equation (with x-values and equal to 0). Do you have a video on that? Thanks.

At 16:19 why do you add the double brackets instead of multiply sorry if dumb question
Thank you for this gem of a video!
Hi, I don't really understand the question at 20:50. Could you please explain it in a simpler way maybe in the comments? Thanks x
how many hours do you work for a day?
thank youuu
in question 2 why does the -8 turn into a positive 8
You know for the last question Instead if making the first part have the same denominator (12) as the second part I instead started solving it from there and moved the fraction to make it negative then I solved and from there I factorised and got 6(3x-28) and when you solve that you get x=28/3 and x=6 did I by some chance do the wrong working and get the right answer or did I get it right but in a different way if so then what do you do with the other x (6)? I’d be really grateful if you could answer
At 13:59 shouldn't the first two fractions give you x-4/x-3 instead of x-8/x-3
By the way at 4:30 you left the answer not in final form, it ended on 4x - 6 / 3x - 9, and in the question it asks to leave it where b and d were both positive integers
@luvdarci
Жыл бұрын
it doesnt matter ! its the correct answer as to make it b and d positive you would hve to make other integers negative , which it doesnt state in the question
Thanks for the video! Do these questions come up in calc or non calc ?

13:42. Wouldn’t you minus the denominator of (x-3) in the fractions like you did with the numerator? Why would they just become only (x-3) instead of cancelling out? I asked the same question on your other video. Edit: is it because with normal fractions the denominator stays the same. E.g 5/20 + 6/20 = 11/20?

for fractions when you add or subtract the denominator doesn’t change, that’s only for multiplication
