Im a full-time caregiver for 3senior citizens n i got 3 kids under 13 and live in Rural Appalachia i needed something to help make money i could do.mostly from home. I started watching people like Homeschooling picker, Commonwealth Picker and others who lit my fire .then i found you. I educated myself for over a year watching everything you have done and do. I started selling last October and im having more success than I could have possibly imagined. Thanks to you and others who do what you do! You have a dump truck load of good Karma coming your way..thank you sir and Merry Christmas!

You have nothing to sell, yet here I am, ready to buy! Lol.
I love your no BS videos. I have learned more in the last month since finding you.
By far one favorite to watch keep up the good work brother thank you! Much appreciated! Much love to you and your family!
You rock because you are smart and you are real. I am a long time reseller 😅😅 and I love watching young people do this. It's changing the game. I can remember getting serious shame for reselling! People looked down on you like you were stealing! 😅😅 I still know a guy at a thrift store that when he prices something for me and I accept, he always says, you got me! I never ask for lower prices so he knows that it is a one chance negotiation 😅😅
That last tip at the end of the video is the best advice I’ve heard in the last 3 months of watching reseller videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this excellent video and advice. Merry Christmas!🎄
You are so generous with knowledge and advice, thank you once more! Here's to 2024 being a fantastic year with all of us carrying inventory of quality items and fast sell through rates. Wishing you and you family a wonderful and joyous holiday season.

I've recently started watching your videos and I really enjoy them. Your presentation is fantastic because you keep it simple and what you say makes sense. THIS video is fantastic because you show how to do research quickly and easily while out and about to determine if something could be worth getting. I did my first thrift store shop recently and I stood there for ages doing "research" as I don't know efficient ways of doing it. I feel like this nugget that you're showing is so useful. I also love that you've included a couple of examples as if you were in the store yourself. This is the learning that I enjoy as it contributes to my confidence going in the right direction, can't wait to learn more!!! Thank you🙏
Great advise my Friend.. Through the years I had to learn this the hard way.. enjoy the Season!
Jake, thanks so much for sharing your information for other sellers
Wow. I wish I had found your channel earlier. LOADS of great information in here. I really appreciate you taking the time to break it down. Cheers! Have a safe and happy New Year :-)
Incredibly valuable information. Thank you!
I think this video will become a classic. Great work Jride.
Just wanted to say, thanks for the tips. I've started picking up glasses and hair appliances since watching your videos. The right glasses are a great flip.
Wow! This video was awesome. My wife and I have been hesitant to try selling on EBay. You have completely changed our minds. Thank You for sharing your knowledge!!!
Super inspiring, thank you!
Your videos are so helpful thank you.
Outstanding!!! Thanks for
I have so many Dyson vacuum cleaners. I would never have thought of parting them out as they all work. Looking at what I can get for parts has been a real eye-opener. Thank you so much.
Very helpful video Ty
Great tips! Thank you for defining the quick sell-through rate of 0.8.
Yes, Thank you for sharing these tips, I learned a better way to research thanks to you!
Very helpful for a newbie, thx you!
Just FYI - I changed my youtube channel so I’m subscribing to all my favorite resellers, again. Just to see who pops up, I put eBay reselling in my search and you’re the first video that pops up. Maybe you already new that but if you didn’t, well then Merry Christmas! 😀. Thats the least I can do is maybe make your day a tad better for all the great content you put out for us. Thank you!
Yes, thank you. Absolutely the best.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
you da man! thanks!
I discovered your channel this morning and I really like your attitude, not cramming a course of book down our throats, excellent! I produce 2 KZread channels and I like your style and your gift of information is very valuable, thank you. I sub'd and dont often do that these days. Thanks again
Thanks for a great video
All good advice. Especially the electronics.
Love it brother. Too bad I missed your live wanna show you some love. Finally downloaded youtube app so I'll get the notification next time.

Digital Cameras in our Goodwill Stores here in NJ are priced a bit higher than $3.00 to $10.00. I paid $12.99 for a Nikon Coolpix L820 and sold it for $60.00 pretty darn quick too. I would say the average price for a digital camera is about $12.99 in our area.
That second sold Magnavox listing is mine :D
Great video!
I am the Executive Director of a nonprofit ministry with a thrift store. I had no idea some of these things sold like they do. I cannot tell you how many vacuum parts we have thrown away because we could not find the complete unit. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Our eBay store is about to pick up!!

I get that you're an Exec Dir for a non-profit ministry and I respect that, but please don't start jacking up your prices and price out people who resell for a living and/or people who really can't afford anywhere else to shop. I have noticed the bigger thrift stores are starting to jack up their prices thru the roof and pricing us resellers out of the market. It's a real bummer when I see that happening.

@@TheWildwoodPicker for things that we post on eBay, they don’t even go out on the floor. Less than 1% of our inventory makes it online and it’s usually stuff that simply won’t sell in our area. We try to keep prices fair. 2024 will be fourth year of operation and we’ve been quite blessed.

Lmao you’ll never make more money in your life than when you do it in the name of the lord. I’ve known several people who own goodwills some even preachers, and they help sooooo many people!!!!!! But they also drive Escalades and have multiple homes and luxuries you wouldn’t believe could be acquired with a non profit 😂😂😂. God bless those people!

I’m so grateful I discovered your channel ❤. I’m retired living in Germany 🇩🇪 so access to garage sales aren’t as common as in California but I’m going to educate myself to the market here. Hopefully I can sell & ship internationally. I have so much stuff I brought over I will never use.

Great video Jake, what's your minimum sell thru % needed on items you purchase to flip? Thanks
Your advice is priceless. Picking is tough as we have many hungry ebay sellers in my area. I enjoyed Osborn2thrift but he left youtube, likely because he is just selling too much and has his son to co-parent. One thing that amazes me is that as an ebay buyer, I have items saved, saved for literally years. How to sellers justify keeping items for YEARS on a space consideration only?
Thank you for this step by step tutorial! It helps so much! I’ve been picking up items that look like a good deal, even looking them up in the store, and still come home to find they aren’t worth much. With this knowledge I can hone in on what to look for and then do a better job of researching them!!

You're very smart and I totally appreciate your intelligent videos. I am curious about how you test all of these or if you sell as is. I shy away from electronics for this reason.
Makes so much sense
Thanks a lot brow
This is one of your most important videos
Thanks for the useful details using computer screens to demonstrate your points.
Glad I found you and appreciate your content- plain and simple and very helpful. I’ve always shied away from electronics bc I worry about testing my everything, batteries-cords needed etc. How do you go about testing so much electronics, or do you, and how do you enter that information in the listing? Again thanks!

You just need to plug them in and check them out. If you have something that doesn't work, you can try to fix it if you know how or can find a video on KZread about repairing it, or sell it "as is" or part it out depending on whether that would make sense.
These are great, appreciate the videos. New subscriber here. I guess I'll get that DVD/VCR combo collecting dust in my closet and sell it to start with. lol. I'm a 24 year seller on E-bay but have been getting frustrated with having to constantly fix inventory counts on my listings with multiple variations. When a slot sells down to zero I have to remove it or else something causes the count to go back to 1, then someone tries to buy again putting me in a bad place of having to cancel or somehow avoid the strike. Have you done any videos about any of the glitches that E-bay has introduced with their recent "upgrades"?
Excited to let you know I found TRAVIS Matthews golf shirt at Goodwill today for 6.99 I would not have known to look for this brand if not for your videos also found a canon camera fill $6.99. Excited to get home and start listing thank you for your valuable information.
Salem NH -Thank you for sharing your experiences with reselling😅
Thsnks!
A great video! What do you ship your guitar hero guitars in?
So much value
thank you
I finally found a bin with glasses at GW today! 100% were trash BUT I FOUND them.
my wife thethriftinmama does clothing but i have been trying to get into hard goods to expand our store so this was awesome, thank you!
How do you ship golf clubs? What type of packaging is required?
We bought channel memberships😉
Please mention how you test or not test all of your electronics? Thank you embcreative
Appreciate the knowledge! When it comes to electronics that are often, at least slightly, broken/malfunctioning, what is your process? I have sold 100 ish of the guitar hero guitars and easily found about a 1:1 ratio of working to non working. Same case with the vcr and or dvd players, tons of issues. I also notice that nicer thrifts generally have more working stuff, which is often an explanation for people in utah/around specific named thrifts.

Wondering about the electronics process as well.
It'd be cool if you could get the volume of your faraway cuts and close ups the same, I keep having to adjust cos its either really loud or then I can't hear you haha.
Best tip came from you sold my pink cannon for $160 🎉
Find my store aligning with jride lol, almost like a mini version of him
I am a newbie. How do you determine the % of sell through rate? Wanting to get started the right way! Thanks for your videos.
I’m new to your channel you might have already discussed this… how much time do you spend sourcing??
What is your process for testing electronics? I’m thinking of the cameras and whatnot, or especially the remotes, how do you know the “true” condition of the item, or do you just list it as “used” and leave it up to the customer to figure out if it works or not?
Do another video like this. Just walk around your inventory thrift store and show us the goodness
select all your audio on the timeline and click "normalize audio" this will help your lower audio on your computer footage.
I've been to a hundred thrift stores and never come across oakleys or raybans!! Where do you get your sunglasses
This is great info, but I am wondering where do YOU get all of your items that you resell? I am looking to get into this business but have no idea where to go find all these items for cheap enough to go sell, and in enough volume to really make good money.
nice how do you scan i,m new to learning this what app
Now i wish i had kept my old shark that i was able to replace last year, oh well. Live and learn
I live in a small college town, not a large metropolitan area. Sourcing is my challenge. I hear what you’re saying, looking for ways to find those items without moving 😂 advice?
jride flips tough
What camera and microphone do you use for your videos? Thanks
I have an odd question would happen to know if the original prototype of a club would sale. Thank you any information would be appreciated
Great one!! Do you test all the cameras or list them as untested?

Yes, I would love to know this too, please share
Crazy question, how do you ship the golf club affordably?
I find it interesting that in US people buy and use the old DVD/ CD players and recorders. Here in NZ on our selling platforms its mainly the new portable reader/ writers that people use. Im not bragging Im sad that we dont have the resale opportunity here haha
How do you test the guitar heros?
How do you package golf clubs for shipping?
@Jride Flips Thanks for your videos, however it seems MANY of them, including this one have VOLUME issues! It started out pretty good yet @1:00 or there about as scene changed Volume went from TEN to like THREE! UGH! Please check your V! THX
Where do you buy the sunglasses to sell? Is there a wholesaler?
I gotta figure out how to find some of this stuff

where do u look for the serial numbers for cameras?
ThNks to watching your video I got a pair of nori steam press flat iron...I'm thinking $50-$60
sell through rate will vary depending on price find the price that something sells at 100% is what i do then see if i make money at that price
When is your next live Q&A video?
Hey can you tell me where and how to adjust the percent for promoted listings from my phone that’s all I’m listing with and I can’t find it?
This morning I touched the only camera I have listed. It has been listed for over a year. Tonight it sold… Dark magic at play methinks 😮
