The man never let the ball get out of bounds. Never failed a rebound. He knew his job and he excelled at it. Jordan could fly. Rodman could get that ball back. It was amazing. Pippen didn't want him. Pippen had sour grapes. He knew he'd never be The Show with Jordan there. He'd never be The Most Talked About with Rodman there. Instead of being part of the machine... he decided to try to destroy it. Rodman was an odd duck, no one can argue it. But he knew his job and got it done!!! Amazing athlete.

He was also outshined by his two sisters, from memory they were all-Americans in BB. I think one of them won a national championship too. So he felt like a nobody. The story of him in the parking lot of The Palace is devastating. His life is a manual on how to persevere. People always look at him as a player, but him as a human is just as impressive. The mountains he overcame give me inspiration. Like T-Macs 13 in 35. It proves nothing is impossible. With a bit of luck and hard work, you can do anything. God made us in his image and God is spectacular. He's a LEGEND. His DPOY speech gives me chills and I tear up. His enshrinement speech... Even more emotional. Legendary.

To watch this man play in person was one of the best games I've ever seen in my life!!! Chicago played Houston (in Houston) and I had to go see Jordan play his last championship season. I'm a Chicago native but live in Houston so I just wanted to see them play. No matter who won, my city won lol. He snatched the ball from Olajuwon mid-air and ran it back to dunk it. The whole crowd was just shocked! Then the Chicago fans (myself included) went wild!!! The Bulls won by like 3 points. But Rodman was definitely the reason for the win because he had like 10 rebounds in the second half. Amazing game and Rodman was an amazing player. I waited for the teams to leave just to see them (The Bulls) getting on the bus and Rodman gave his shoes and jersey to two different children as he boarded the bus. He signed them in the locker room. I hope they still have them because they are worth a mint today. I miss the NBA of the 80s and 90s. They were way more physical on the court and more exciting to watch!

As a fan living in Detroit, I totally agree. Watching him during his days as a Detroit Pistons "Bad Boy" was a treat!

I had a growth spurt one summer 4ft 11 to 5ft 9 and later grew 2 more inches but Rodman's growth spurt was incredible! Truly a blessing! God is good!

This is one guy who doesn't give a Fuck what society thinks or says about him!!!!!!! Shout-out Rodman

Looks aren't everything in life you know

I knew a guy that coached him @ SOC. Apparently he wasn't as bad skill-wise as people think. He was just a maverick, did what he wanted. Decent player, bad teammate because he didnt take it serious or really apply himself to his craft. If you think about it, he never totally lost that attitude. Basketball was his job, but it didnt define him. He could take it or leave it. He just finally gained the maturity and discipline to be a good teammate.

Rodman was a pogo stick. He could jump the same 3, 4 times in a row. Nobody could stop that.

It amazes me how maintenance jobs or janitorial jobs are to many the end of the road. I was a high school janitor for a number of years. Which was a very edifying time of my life.

Bro was a fucking alien as a kid 😂

This shows that when you think its too late, its most likely not 💯🤞🏿

I remember watching the Bulls growing up & I think about Robman having The different colors hairs when it wasn’t A thing when it really wasn’t kool but he did it & For that Rodman pave the way for a lot of people to open up & be them and be ok with it .

Dennis Rodman always stood out to me as a kid because of the way he dressed and his hair all those crazy piercings this man was a real trendsetter!❤

Not only is he a force to be reckoned with he is a nice man. Having met him in person and talk with him in depth and watched how he supports young people and really sits down and takes the time to talk to them, encourage and inspire them is something I will never forget.

When they are going to make a movie about Denis I'm 100% sure they cannot find an actor that can portray him for his fierceness, toughness, and determination, til this day one plays like Rodman.
