I came to this video after reading about Salamone Rossi and Leon Modena, a musical celebrity in Mantua at the time, working together on this piece, in a book called Shylock's Venice by Harry Freedman. Technology can be wonderful -- I didn't just have to wonder what this music sounded like, I could go to KZread and there it is! Thank you for this performance and for posting it.

Looked up your edition of Psalm 8 on CPDL - are you singing this about a minor 3rd down from that one? Finding the soprano part more comfortable, and the alto part lower, than I expected :)

I should add that, strangely, the music as such wasn't even written from right to left, something I never quite understood...
