Believe it or not, that was Steve Carell ACTUALLY getting his real chest hair waxed. And his reactions were 100% genuine, including when he screamed out, "Kelly Clarkson!" And at 20:04, Romany Malco ACTAULLY did get nauseous from the waxing that he had to walk off the set. Also, the lady who played the waxer actually WASN'T a waxer, but she lied to the casting department that she was a professional. And when she waxed Steve's nipple at 20:28, she actually ALMOST ripped his whole nipple off completely when she forgot to apply vaseline on the nipple.

The essence of the movie is there is no timeline on doing things in your life. You don't have to be 16 and get a car. You don't have to be 40 and be married. You do what is right for you and not listen to your friends. I am 49 and not married. I was engaged twice. I had a house and lost it. I have never owned a car or had a regular drivers license. I have a motorcycle license instead. Not having a car but a motorcycle helped me both financially and maintenance costs. It took me over 20 years to get my undergraduate and graduate degrees. People laughed at all that. Now I am 49 and getting married to a 39 year old who is just like me. I am learning to drive a car now and saving up money for a house.

That scene where he has all those plastic anatomy models reminds me of my old neighbor - used to be a biology professor and kept a bunch of things from when he retired from his university in a ratty old half falling down barn, so you'd walk in and there would be organs in jars , mummified body parts and animal parts all over the place and sitting on the rafters. If you were just some random guy who got lost in the woods and ended up wandering into the barn for shelter one night you'd have probably freaked out thinking he was some kind of psycho

I actually worked for one of those eBay stores back in the mid-2000s. The whole point is that eBay was a huge, new thing at the time, so the stores popped up to take advantage of the craze. You would bring your stuff to the store and we'd do research on eBay to give an idea of what those items were selling for. If you decided it was enough, we would take a % of the final sale price to photograph the item, list it on eBay, respond to inquiries, and ship the item to the winner, then you'd get a check. The whole point being that you just drop off the item and we do all the work. You also benefited from using a known seller with a high review score/rating and someone who knew how to make good listings rather than people worrying that the seller was a scammer and take your money and never get the item.

I appreciate silly Office Steve Carrell and Ace Ventura Jim Carey. But when I see films like Dan in Real Life and Eternal sunshine. It makes me love them more endearingly.

ISTG if I had a dollar for every time my husband or I said to each other, "it's not about butthole pleasures", I would have a lot of dollars! SO MUCH fun to see you two enjoying this movie! I feel like part of it's charm is that underneath all the raunchiness is a very sweet story. Andy is like all those toys, his life didn't begin until he took himself out of the box. He made friends and found love (and finally had sex, although that in the end seems like the least interesting part!).

The wax scene wasn't rehearsed, he really got it done an his reactions were 100% genuine! So was the laughter from his mates, so was the nausea at the sight of it! Same as the waxer lady's! Also, the waxer lied as she hadn't done it in her life! Actual genuine moments an breaks in characters in films make me admire it more for some reason

Asia's face as BJ imagines what life would've been like as a 40 year old virgin 😆. This movie is what introduced me to Steve Carell, which led me to watching (and binging) The Office. Then I saw Dinner with Schmucks. I need to watch Foxcatcher because Carell is mostly a comedic actor and Foxcatcher is a more dramatic film.

The action figure that you thought was an Austin Powers figure is actually, Steve Austin from the tv series "The Six Million Dollar man" from the 1970's. Steve Austin was played by Lee Majors who also played in an 80's series " The Fall guy."

Take the black pill. There's always a job for you at the monastery. And on the bright side, no chance of HIV or who knows what disease will pop up next. I got a relatively minor STD from my hottest hookup and it was a horrible few months. I regretted having sex at all. I can't say they are great memories either, sex at my age isn't what it was, I'd probably imagine it was something I got screwed out of if I never had it and maybe hate the world who knows. I think for me now, I'd be fine without it if I had some nice cabin in the woods and not hotties around ever. Unfortunately I have to live in the city because I didn't save, so yeah, you older virgins if you take care of your money that's a good point in your favor. Women are like panning for gold with a bottomless pan. If you ever do find someone and you have money don't tell them about it, seriously at least not for a long time.
