San Lorenzo was the first Argentinian club I grew up watching here in the States. Everyone else wanted to watch Boca or River but I wanted to watch San Lorenzo.

I went to the Nuevo Gasometro in 2013, San Lorenzo was the only Argentinian team I wanted to see a game of. They are a big club not because of how many trophies they have but because of the quality of their people. I only hope I can go back sometime soon.

I read an article in a magazine about San Lorenzo some years back. The rumour was that the government official during negiotiations placed a revolver on the table in front of the club president. The hint being sign over the property freehold or pay with your life. So glad this injustice has been corrected and San Lorenzo are back home soon.Wonderful story and wonderful fans

Great video about a remarkable campaign. It's the supporters who ARE the club, players, managers, directors, presidents, come and go, but the people will ALWAYS be there, as San Lorenzo proves emphatically.

Thank you Copa90 for making this video. Even as a Boca fan (one of their rivals) I always supported San Lorenzo's cause to come back to Boedo. Yeah, maybe we can mock them, but imagine if your hometown team doesn't play there anymore, Imagine Barcelona not playing in the camp nou, Milan not playing in San Siro, Liverpool not playing in Anfield Road, well... you get it. And not only that, but they were forced to play in one of the poorest and most dangerous zone in Buenos Aires (near "Villa 1-11-14"), the dictatorship was long gone and they still had to play there for 40 freaking years. It's an unfairness that I really wish no football fan had to ever endure. Keep cheering 'cause you're finally coming back, congrats!

What a truly beautiful story. I had no idea of San Lorenzo's background so thankyou for bringing this to my attention and thankyou to the San Lorenzo fans for being so amazingly passionate and loyal to your club!

If I had this shirt, I would wear it proudly here in Europe to show that the football is not only about big clubs in UCL, but it's something more. That for millions of people around the world the ball and eleven men wearing the same kits are symbols of their community, their identity. That this is the power that unites rich businessmen and poor streetcleaners in common cause. That the spirit of the game becomes the part of the soul of the neighbourhood/city/country. That this is the force that can get the kids out of poor favelas/barrios/however you call it and make them role models of hard work and passion for the next generations. Simply, that football is much more than a game.

I'd love to win the shirt because I live in Germany and no one knows about san lorenzo. I want to wear the shirt and tell people that football is more than just a 90 minute game. It's an identity, something that helps a poor community and makes people work hard. The football club you support shouldn't be a choice of who's better & which clubs got more fans. In Brazil we don't have this connection with the neighbourhood like Argentina has, but still you can understand how important this is for them. I have long accompanied this journey from San Lorenzo to go back to Boedo from the news, and it was a great video to raise awareness. Good luck from an Atlético Mineiro fan, from one of the most fanatical fanbase in the world to anoter. Arriba cuervo!

What an amazing feeling... 3 years now i am so in love with this team, those fans, this mentallity, this passion even so far away, in Greece! Soon i will go there to make my entire life's dream come true... And i'm sure that will be so magical being there among the cuervos in the Gloriosa singing and jumping with the passion overcome any feeling in the world...

This is exactly what football is all about, the connection to your community, it is something much bigger than military dictatorships, Russian billionares and Qatari sheiks is really shown here by the San Lorenzo supporters, and I hope I win the shirt :)

The joke on San Lorenzo was that Carrefour has the exact same colours, so pretty much every argentine hinchada was bullying them, not only for the fact of being homeless, but also for being the only of the "greatest 5" that did not win the Libertadores. But fortunately to them, this has changed, they won the Copa Libertadores, and they are returning to Boedo. As an Independiente fan I happy for them, they are known of being the most creative regarding the chants, and one last thing, Im curious of what are they going to do with the stadium, not the new one, the current. Cheers!
