i straight up disagree. great game but this was a horrible boss fight. infuriating that you cant aim at what you want and have no real power in your attacks...

Buahahaha! I also finished the game! I finally got additional costumes for Aya. One China Dress and one Maid Outfit. And some awesome evolved DNA's! ;P Oh.. And an automatic sub-machinegun too. ;D

OMG, I can't wait for the US release!

I watched the ending to The 3rd Birthday I fully understand everything and a special cutscene at the end hints at a sequal cuz a certain person says "the 4th birthday" or something like that GREAT ass GAME

Yoko Shimomura can have my babies i swear she never ceases to amaze me with the badass themes in video games from super nintendo till now i want this game even more because of the epic music

@ZayLong It's a little hard to explain but for a lack of better wording, I believe they do that to try and convey the mood. So it's like, situational. They don't have to, but some words if they were to use Japanese characters it'd just be the Japanese pronunciation of English words i.e. Bullet = Buretto

I once beat Hyde here with 2 shotguns and without Kyle, Gabriel, Blank, and Cray. Although I did have the luxury of savestates

They may have mindfucked one of my favourite series of all time, but that fight was one of the most awesome ones I have seen for a good while

it's when i see this that i realise that the movements of the character are exactly the same as the characters in ff type o , especially ace ... square enix's been using that CTRL + C , CTRL + V :p

@ZayLong That or sometimes they lack a word for it in Japanese so they refer to it with Japanese pronunciation.

I prefer the pe 1 and 2 than the 3

@Shadowzeroace Yeah, I have been getting alot of the same type feedback. So it's not a question of "IF," but more of a question of "WHEN?" GS had overlaping sales that left me with 11 games and little money, lol. There are a few PSP titles that I want to grab like: The 3rd Birthday, Y's The Oath in Felghana, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift and Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection. lol, Thanks again!~

@Khimeran77 Anytime i will definitely say i enjoyed it, the story is still good and the bosses can and will kick your ass on the harder difficulties but its fun

That would be really great because I finished the game, I tried using the cutscenes for reference on as to what was going on and then the switcheroo happened between Aya and Eve, but mostly because it was all in Japanese. Also, do I have to play it in hard mode to see the secret ending? Thanks!!! I know I'm asking a lot.

yeah the 1st part of the boss fight annoyed the hell out of me, the last part was pretty easy even on Hard mode.

i hope they make a sequel i can't wait to get the english version of this

@IHATEGAYFAMILYGUY I did, happened to actually like that movie, didn't listen to the music but to answer your question not necessarily take cave story for example started out as an indie game nes like graphics, confusing story till the end awesome music, not saying music makes the game but it helps tie the player to whatever is going on at that time.

@Shadowzeroace MOSDEF! Y's SEVEN is the game that made me interested in the franchise and Seven is the perfect game for the "LOOT HOUNDS!"

@IHATEGAYFAMILYGUY I don't see whats wrong with the characters in the 3rd birthday sure the story took a complete 360 turn but i still enjoyed the game for what it was, and true cave story is epic i plan on getting the new one.

@Khimeran77 FUCK YEA! i swear everywhere you turn synthesis items everywhere! Turns out Ys is actually pretty old but i never played it until the ark of naphistim which is the first one they had on psp they remade some of the others tho so i may try to find them.

@Khimeran77 Its a great game don't get me wrong i love it but its not a great PE game cus the direction the story went no parasite energy powers (which sucks) and the game is extremely short the length comes from beating the other difficulties and unlocking things through multiple plays the weapon customization and the costumes are a nice touch as well but if your looking for another adventure rpg this may not be for you.

It's only a "spin-off" because they lost the rights to the book (which had not a goddamn thing to do with the games), so they had to make up some other scifi plot device. I mean, seriously, they just swapped out mitochondria with whatever causes Overdriving and monster DNA. Calling it a "spin-off" is just assinine legal lipservice.

Guh... I wish there was a way to change the voices from English to Japanese... whenever I play in public and I'm dodge rolling (where Aya makes... awkward noises) people give me strange looks. :s

I was going back to unlock all the achievements and play on genocide mode, but my psp died on me during an update. I'm waiting for the 4th Birthday on PS3. I hope they announce something soon.
